I'm curious about this. Do you believe there is a higher power, just not a God in the religious sense?

Athiest = No God
Agnostic = well, maybe there's a God... maybe there's not... but if there is, I doubt that he has any particular interest in what's happening with the Redskins, Joe Gibbs, or that jerk Kyle Busch. On the other hand, one does have to wonder why Texas Stadium was shaped like a giant toilet bowl.

Yup ... I believe we exist because a random set of conditions essential to the formation of life (i.e. our proximity to the sun, the ability to sustain the presence of water, etc. etc.) worked out in our favor. To put it in poker terms, we caught all the right cards.
P.S. I am a Kyle Busch fan

Note the hat ... Joe Gibbs racing through and through ... that's from this year at Richmond, Kyle won both races

As a devout Christian, I can only say, PRAISE GOD for Joe Gibbs!!!
Thanks for sharing, Fios.
I'm glad that men like Coach Gibbs and Coach Dungy are using their positions of influence to help guide those who are looking to win the game of life.
I love it!
Again, Gracias.

Which is why atheism is a religion as well. If things were as you describe then I could see emotionless machines that acted somewhat as we do that are focused on survival similar to plants.
But when you think about things like consciousness and love, recreation, the pursuit of knowledge for completely non-survival reasons, the incredible engineering of our systems like the eye, DNA that acts as an incredibly complex "computer" code and that evolution has basically proven so far that beaks in the Galapagos can get longer and shorter then I don't see how you can actually "believe" there is no "God." I can see questioning and doubting the religious definitions of God, where I'm with you.
More then that when you think of all the things we completely don't understand about these things and our existence, I don't see how you can conclude you know there is nothing more.
