Hey all, just wanted to do a shout out to the boxing fans on THN. Being Pinoy, I am a big Manny Paquiao supporter. Can't wait for Saturday night vs. Hatton.
“I’m a believer that speed kills,” Bob Arum, Pacquiao’s veteran promoter, said. “I’ve never seen such a mixture of speed and explosive punching power that Manny has. I think that carries him to victory. The sparring partners he had were top professionals and they couldn’t handle them. Manny just beat the s*** out of them. Ricky Hatton says he’s fast and he is, but his speed is just on a different level to Pacquiao.”

I am puling for Hatton in this one. The song his fans sing when he is fighting is awesome! But I see Manny knocking him out. Too much speed and power, just like Mayweather.
I'm not really rooting for either since I'm not a huge boxing fan (I do watch the big ones though) but I will be watching this and I predict PacChow to bust him up.

I would have, except I did not apprciate Hatton supporters booing our national anthem when he fought Floyd Mayweather.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

It was a bloodbath from the opening seconds. Manny Pacquiao came out and stunned Ricky Hatton with blazing speed. By the end of the second round, Ricky Hatton was asleep and being fitted for a neckbrace. Pacquiao landed a left with seven seconds left in the second round. Hatton was out cold on the way down to the mat. It was over at 2:59 of the second as Pacquiao won something called the IBO super lightweight belt with his TKO victory. The belt means nothing, Pacquiao further secured his spot as the king of boxing.
He can now spend the summer prepping to view Floyd Mayweather Jr. face off against Juan Manuel Marquez on July 18 in Las Vegas. Another Pacman superfight is likely for November. Keep in mind it took 22 rounds for Mayweather to finish Hatton (KO) and Oscar De La Hoya (dec.). The "smaller" Pacquiao took out the pair with stoppages inside of 11 rounds.
The problems started early for Hatton (45-2). He simply couldn't see Pacquiao's right hook.
Hatton looked like he didnt train or plan for a fight. He needs to dump Mayweather Sr, and go with a trainer who can help him gameplan. There were rumors his camp had called Pacman's trainer Freddie Roach about getting him to train Hatton after this fight.

Hatton might as well retire now... He has had a good career. No need to put his wife to be and family in crisis mode.....
Manny, Mabuhay ka.... (may you live long and be prosperous).

After Pacquiao rocked him with a right about a minute and a half into round 1, Hatton stopped all defense; dropped his gloves, and stopped moving around. At that point, he was a sitting duck...and Pacquiao just knocked the stuffing out of him.
And wow. Does Pacquiao have insane hand speed, or what?
It’s the fight that everybody in the boxing world wants. Even casual fans of the sport – hell, even people who don’t know the first thing about boxing – seem to want this fight. And now it appears that Manny Pacquiao wants it too. After weeks in which there has been a revolving list of potential opponents for Pacquiao’s next fight that included Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, Edwin Valero and even Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the fighter himself has set his focus on the superfight with Floyd Mayweather that the public is clamoring for.
