I don't think that we'll need to throw for TD's until late in the season. With our O-Line under Buges and Portis back there, there will be nothing wrong with running 50 gut 13 times in a row for the score. . .

I hope Clinton gets 35 carries a game on average.

But, since the poll was asking about receivers, I picked Coles. Since it might get a little dull for Gibbs (and seem like it's no contest after a while) to continually pound the other guys into the dirt, I can see the long ball getting tossed in there every once in a while.

Ditto.

How do you not pick the touchdown machine?

27 of his last 84 catches have been for touchdowns
(going back to his last year at Delaware State)
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Rod Gardner will, he's gonna be the next Art Monk in Gibbs' system. Steve's system didn't rely on possession receivers but he'll thrive in the Gibbs offense.

Coles over the top, the frst play from scrimmage.......everyone thinks Coach Gibbs will pound it, so why no go for the big kahuna right off the bat when nobody is expecting it.

Coles is tough, the Gary Clark of the new Gibbs era. Only Coles has better hands and more speed... no offense to Clark - he's one of my all-time favorites. Good comment on Gardner = Monk, could be very true. Suddenly, Thrash may find it hard to even make it into the lineup - when a couple years ago I was bitching about how great he was... my bad?

Yeah, I hear you Scooter. I was really mad that we let him go a couple of years back, and ecstatic when we brought him back. But now, I really really would love to see him play. . .except at the expense of what?

Definitely not Coles [-X , and surely not Gardner. Can't see him overtaking D-Mac, and boy have I heard good things about Jacobs and others over this off-season. And what about Russell and others, guys that are hoping to make an impact this year. . .I can see Thrash over them--but you never know.

So I guess now Thrash is more of a locker room kind of guy? :hmm:

Well, he's a hard worker, we know that. So if anything he'll at least make the other guys work hard to achieve/maintain their spot on the lineup; and if a receiver or two (heaven forbid) goes down, we'll know that there's a solid guy stepping in to replace them.
