Bohemian Rhapsody - and "Queen" on AI

Is Bohemian Rhapsody the best song ever?

Yesterday, I was riding into work listening to Bohemian Rhapsody and thinking that it has to be the best song ever written and recorded. The arrangement and skil level of that song is just rediculos.

If it isn't in your Mount Rushmore of songs then you have either never heard it, I mean really heard it on a good system cranked up, or you just have extrordinarily BAD taste in music!

Then "Queen" is on American Idol last night. Well the last two memers of Queen were anyway.

AND THEY PLAYED BACK UP for Adam and Kris!!! Has their world gotten that deserate that they would have to defoul themselves by appearing on AI?

Chad Dukes was going off on that fact today on the Big O and Dukes show. First it took them about five minutes to convince him that that had actually happen and them he just went off.

List your top four songs if you would like. For me everything else is such a distant second that I can't even list my top 4.

That's really a tough one to aswer, but I'll try. Granted, I've been listening to punk, thrash, and metal all day, so...

Lots of good ones there. I still go with my top dog and I will pick four here in a bit.

A song that should be considered I guess is American Pie, but that is. more for the significance of the song, than the song it's self. Same could be said for Phil Collins "In the Air (tonight)"

I don't know all those songs Trey but the ones I put in bold I really like, ESPECIALLY Bohemian Rhapsody.

By the way... will there ever be another band like Pink Floyd again? I've been a guitar player since grade school and David Gilmour has been a life long favorite. His melodic articulation with the guitar is unmatched in my opinion. Love that guy...

His new band Chickenfoot with Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, and Chad Smith should be amazing. I'm hoping to get their album on Friday when it comes out.

Anything by Zeppelin, Metallica, AC/DC, G N' R(the old, real one), Aerosmith, and Skynyrd, just to name a few of my favorite bands, is awesome especially songs like Fade to Black, Stairway to Heaven, Free Bird, Back in Black and all of Bon Scott's stuff. On that album, I'd go with Orion over Master. And I'd probably go Ride the Lightning from their 2nd album even over either of those (although Master remains a better album overall).

Great. He has his voice back. Played a number of Band tunes, and did a cover of Tennesse Jed.

BTW, I talked to one of the band members after the show. He said they were headed to Chicago.
