You run the risk of him running up his own price. I wouldn't want that to be a distraction during the year and would prefer to get it out of the way before the season starts. He's performed better and better by the year; I don't see why this year won't follow the trend.
True that you run the risk of him running up his asking price, but hopefully he would learn how to catch better if big money is on the line. I mean he should have plenty of opportunities this year if our pass rush performs up to the hype. I see it is a catch 22 situation (no pun intended).
I know it's frustrating to see the dude drop all of those potential interceptions but he's a corner. His job is to prevent the other team from catching the ball. Dude had 24 passes deflected last year which is one more than Champ ever had and he always seemed to be on top of his receiver when the ball was thrown his way. I say pay the man.

I realize that he has good cover skills, but he needs to be a game changing CB aka get interceptions. He would've had less deflected passes last year if he had more INT's. INT's is what can change the facet of the game for your team.

Especially when they would get more return yards off the INT than they would off any two punt returns

Of course it does. He was a dolphin for years.

And the possibility to score. Unless we have Moss returning kicks, we won't even sniff the endzone (except for maybe D. Hall).

This is one of those frustrating things... we have at least two world class punt returners on our team... neither of them named Randel El, btw... and neither is allowed to drop back except out of desperation.

Goodness I hated Zorn for that. Was he saving Moss for all those TD's he was catching? Ugh...

If someone steps up to take his place fine. We need a couple of recievers to step up this year or we get more of same (last year).
Go Skins!!!
I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed. How could anyone stoop so low?

TALK TO THE QB ABOUT THAT ONE! Moss would have had twice as many TDs had sevral balls been thrown better. When the OL was playing well JC costs us 2 or 3 TDs per game because he threw some god awful passes. And that isn't even counting the times he simply didn't throw a pass that would have ended up scoring!
It was a play right after a punt return for a TD against Detroit that resulted in Moss' hammy being tweeked and cause the offense to go in the tank for the rest of the season! A healthy Moss is the key to the Skins' O. If he isn't 100% we can't even run the ball well because Portis constantly faces 8 or 9 in the box.
