Marko Mitchell

Thoughts?

Obviously if Malcom can get going we'll have a big guy but after that we're the smurfs at WR and this guy has prototypical size.

... and speed. A WR that is 6'4 and runs a 4.36 is impressive. Marko opened some eyes at mini-camp, so I'm optimistic about the kid and hope he makes it. In my opinion, we need a 6th WR on the roster and one to groom on the practice squad. So I'll be pulling for Marko... and Keith Eloi as well.

He was a draft pick. Based on last year that gives about a 90% chance he makes the final roster...

Would be great if he is this year Horton.
With the Cardinals reaching the Super Bowl, is Dan Snyder officially the worst owner in the league?

I wouldn't call Devin Thomas at 6'2" and 215 a smurf, but I'm rooting for Mitchell. Big and fast. A good combo.

I have lots of hope for this guy and Mitchell is a name that has been good to the Redskins (Brian Mitchell, Bobby Mitchell). Malcom Kelly has spent more time on the operating table than the playing field and it's appearing that he was a wasted pick. I liked the thinking at the time though of the pick (pick two top WRs in Round 2) and it was the Fred Davis pick I questioned because I just wouldn't pick a TE that high. I was hoping we'd draft Chad Henne at that Davis spot. But I digress. I really hope this Marko Mitchell guy is the surprise of the entire draft. Horton arguably was last years' best surprise.

Again, maybe we need to give him more than 1 year before we can deem them a bust.

This post makes you a bust. CUT HIM!!! Seriously, one year is plenty. Just look at all the current superstars. They were all great from the first play in their rookie season. Since we must have superstars at every position, we must cut all players in their second year if they don't make the pro bowl as rookies.

Duh.

Guys,

I said Malcom Kelly appears to be a wasted pick. I didn't say he was one-- yet. Once you have a bum knee, it's usually down hill from there on.

Maybe Kelly will be an exception to the rule like Terry Allen was. I think we'll know this year and maybe as soon as the first preseason game if he's ready to play in it.

I like this Marko Mitchell and hope he pushes Kelly. If he surpasses Kelly, I'll take that scenario too. Super disappointing having those three 2nd round receivers and getting so little production out of the lot of them.

I'd take a productive Davis and Thomas if Kelly ends up not contributing. That's 66%. I hope all three produce, though. Two big WR, Moss, and Cooley with CP out of the backfield. Sounds nice to me.

As for Marko, I know nothing about him...
