Redskins Rule wrote:Hey tcwest10...It actually looks like Kellen Winslow Jr. wanted number 81 for HIS jersey. As oafusp said, he wore it in college. Can you imagine it???? We draft him and he wants number 81????
Sweet mother of mercy. . .
Those that wanted us to get KW2 (myself not among them) ought to be thanking their lucky stars that we didn't invite the phenom on board. To think that he'd be asking for #81 right around the time that Gibbs was talking about re-circulating unofficially 'retired' numbers. . .
I would have been off the charts mad --and I'm not even the official "Put Monk in the HOF" fan!
Scooter - I scanned past the posts too fast the last time cause I was trying to catch up from being on the road - but if you can get a DVD like that, I'll make the popcorn or buy the pizza and we can camp and re-run it over and over

Kellen Winslow will never be half the man Art Monk was and still is until he learns that football is a team-first sport.
Until then, his wearing the #81 in any color is a travesty.
Oh, and Smuggs ? Believe me, K2 isn't doing this because it was his daddy's number. He's doing it because he couldn't get his first choice. The whole "Daddy" thing, if it exists, is an afterthought.
Those don't count in character profiles.
