Taylor back to Miami

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

I bet he's regretting that decision right about now.

Then again, who knows. Not like he's hurtin' for money as it is, and he has his "acting" career to think about.

They're probably the only team in the league that didn't have a problem with him working out in Miami after spending most of the previous year injured.

Looks like he had offers for more money but chose to go to Miami...

In the end, money wasn't a factor in his final decision to return to the Dolphins. Earlier this week, he got word to the Dolphins to put together an offer that fit within their budget and salary cap. Because he had been averaging $7 million a year since the early 2000s, Taylor wasn't under any financial pressure to play.

He's also resisted two lucrative movie deals because it would cause him to spend time away from home.

Taylor also resisted the temptation to go to the New England Patriots, who were willing to offer him more than the deal he accepted in Miami.

More than a dozen teams expressed interest in Taylor once he was released, but he kept every team on hold for a couple of months while he invested his time with his family.

Good for him. He never fit into our defense as a every down DE. To bad he was hurt the whole time here. He takes a lot less money but will be with his family, I can respect that. He would have been a great situational player with the skins if he was healthy but not worth 7.5 mil. I'm not going to trash the guy because the skins made a stupid mistake. He probably did us a favor by not sticking around for the money.
Go Skins!!!

I think that he gets at least 5 sacks. Miami knows how to use him properly.

Hes also got Joey Porter on the other side who has more than a dozen sacks last year IIRC. I think he's going to have a good year.

I hink he'll be ok and could challenge for double digit sacks, but I would be suprised if he got there. Too small to get physical any more and too slow to simply out-quick OTs. He is running out of options.

at least 5 is the correct answer. and it has nothing to do with what position he is playing. it will because he is healthy again. a full season without calf injuries will go a long way to increased production.

Parcells is a genius. A football genius that is. Oh and Taylor will get 8 sacks.

Reasons why Jason Taylor will succeed in Miami. He is going back to his original team. He is not on the Redskins anymore. He is joining an already good pass rush with Joey Porter on the same team opposite side.

I am taking the slighty under 10 sacks. He will get 8 sacks. Porter will be the main sack artist.
