How many drops did FDavis, MKelley, and DThomas have last year?

More like how many snaps did they have. Answer: barely any.

I hope the skins can get in the endzone this year, not because of added talent but improvement thats all, if there out there and they drop it on 3rd and 6 or they all run 7 yard routes on 3rd and 12 then we got a defense, my real enthusiasm comes when I believe the coaches are putting together an offense well like you stated before there is some talent just they have go to get in the game, Maybe zorn really is measuring things up a little and if a rookie quarter back caan learn and watch a system develop over a year imagine what the backs and wideouts can achieve I am optimistic at best right now.
I really was shocked to see the talent at 13 I agree with the skins pick but it was hard to see the offense get left out, maclin I hope becomes smashed-inlin instead od maclin smashed in my the skins dfence that is

Kelly didn't play most of the season because of a lingering knee injury. In the 3 games he did play, I remember him dropping 3 passes...all for first downs that would have kept drives alive.

Fred Davis, after oversleeping on his first day of work, couldn't learn when to go out on passes or stay into block resulting in Jim Zorn saying that Fred Davis will play when "I can trust him". After a good week of practice prior to the Browns game, the Skins decided to feature, excited about his potential and even ran a reverse for him (which didn't work). They threw 3 passes to him on the first 2 possessions...none of which he caught (but in all fairness, not all were catchable). After messing up on a blocking play again, he was removed from the game and didn't see action until the final few games.

Devin Thomas was the "bright spot" with 15 catches and would have had a huge 80 yd reception if Heyer wouldn't have made a bonehead play and hit Dansby in the face after the play resulting in personal foul thus negating the play. He showed signs and may be the best of the bunch.

So, sure they didn't have a lot of playing time, but it wasn't as if they took advantage of the time they did have.

He and Kelly should get along good they have similiar body types only Mitchell is a little faster, The WAC conferense has turned out some fairly good offensive players they seem to sneak in there now and again I like this pick up late in the draft for depth and good competition at wide out for the #4 or #5 spot

Yea Kelly dropped like a 40 yarder in traffic that hit him right in the hands. That's one play, though. If he actually gets on the field, he has the size to compete for those balls downfield, unlike our starters at the moment. Same goes for Thomas. I want those two to step it up so much that Moss can move back and forth between the slot and El is the 4th receiver.

kelly still hasnt had a chance. like some guys who enter the NFL they are injury prone and will never have a career.

we dont know yet if that is the case, he is still so young. now, if he stays healthy he still has the goods. maybe sitting on the bench allowed him to learn the O. maybe he has fire now that he has seen a season go by while riding the pine.

i still have hope that he will not be one of those injury guys.

Ou receivers will be fine, they just need to get on the field... I'm more worried about JC remaining upright long enough to get our receivers the ball than I am our receivers cathing it... we haven't had a big problem with drops other than Carlos Rogers...

the offense is depending on them for there key catches just to sustain drives they don't need to be all worls or anything just make the catches that will move the chains?>

I just really hope those players are given the chance to shine. They all obviously have talent but they were underused last season. Devin Thomas showed though, that he can really make things happen with the ball in his hands.

My hope for next season is that ARE moves down the depth chart to slot man and Kelly and Thomas are used a lot more opposite Moss.

There are such things as two TE packages and playing a TE in the slot? Nobody is saying he'll supplant ey but Zorn has already stated that Davis WILL be on the field quite often this year.

Yeah, there's plenty of opportunity for Davis to play. Since ey is such a big receiving weapon why don't they use him our of the backfield and in the slot more? It'd be fun to watch.

Yep, and Davis has also said they ran a lot of Two TE packages at USC, which are similar to the packages Zorn plans to implement.
