I think it's funny to look at what people said in the past. So I thought it would be fun (and to lighten the mood) to see some of our first post on THN. I remember mine very well..I was so pissed..it was after the Boys 27-0 blowout of us in 03.

I'm sick and tired of going to the games and seeing so many fans of the opposing team there! If you don't want to go to the game give up your tickets. I drive a hour and a half to all the games. Don't tell me it's to cold, don't tell me you had plans, if you get tickets plan on being there, if not give or sell them to a SKINS fan!!! We say we want a winner, but we don't support it. Yesterday was a great example, had to be at least 30,000 Boys fan there. Way to much blue!!

I really don't think that we have a problem if CP goes down. I think Betts proved that last year. And we have Blaylok for Betts' breather if needed, I think we're deep at RB. Don't get my wrong, I want CP to stay healthy. I think he's more explosive, but Betts is a workhorse. I'm sweatin that D-line and to see if JC can come out and shine in his first full season starting.

After having lurked for almost a year, I was bored in the off-season, and decided to give this message board thing a try. I've been hooked ever since.

Don't know about that... While Casserly was the king of such maneuvering, it's just not Gibb's style... He is not likely to play such games. My suspicion is that if Gibbs says it's settled, it means that he has evaluated Champ's character, and (finding it above reproach) has decided that he is a Gibbs type of player. I'd bet that Champ is starting on the corner at FedEx next fall.

I feel like I've made this argument for different corners several times the past few years:

No, that went by the wayside fairly quickly. I did, however, use that connection to get an interview with big Jon in 04 after he got hurt, so that was cool at least.

Here's mine. It was frustrating. I was arguing that Gibbs overvalues time in certain endgame situations. I ended up in a tussle with Hogster. He and others kept telling me we pass a lot in 3rd and 2 and I kept trying to remind him and others that I was talking about endgame situations and the value Gibbs places on time. Words were being put in my mouth like crazy. Very frustrating.

I have found Gibbs to be weak in time management since returning. You have all seen the wasted time outs. But there is more. Before I go on I say Gibbs is an excellent coach - but no one is perfect - not even me! Anyway, QBs make bad throws, runners, cough it up, and refs make bad calls. I need Joe to recognize a weakness and work on it. I will not say we lost the game because of what I am about to explain but it's one of the reasons. Running on 3rd and 2 with 2:40 left was a STRATEGIC ERROR. If there are 50 seconds left it is the right call. An unsuccessful run takes it down under 10 seconds before we punt. If we are at midfield running MIGHT be the right call. The extra 40 seconds burned compared to a clock stopping incomplete MIGHT matter if we are about to punt them down to their 10 yard line. But when a punt gives them the ball at midfield, 40 seconds out of 2:40 is not relevant. Heck, they left us almost a full minute as it was. Given the field position, TIME WAS NOT A FACTOR AND GIBBS SHOULD HAVE GONE FOR THE BEST CHANCE AT A 1ST DOWN AND NOT THOUGHT ABOUT TIME AT ALL.

For the record, I thought Gibbs II's time management absolutely sucked. I know I argued that more than once here.

August 1, 2003 we sang Happy Birthday to Darnerien at Training Camp and Fox 5 was supposed to put us on tv - they lied...LOL
