Whatever dude........
What's wrong with him saying that? Just because we had the worst doens't mean that it was bad... He could be basing it simply off of the amount of picks we had.
Saying that Orakpo is boom or bust isn't mind blowing, that goes for darn near any player in the draft. LOL

Hard to disagree with that.
Worse than the Cowboys who did nothing and the Giants who constantly reached on players?

I would say the cowboys had a worse draft. They didn't go till round 3 i think, and made questionable choices at that point. We do win the award for dumbest pick though, easily.

Not so fast...I think you could make a better case for the Raiders as the dumbest pick theirs was a 1st and 2nd while ours was 5th

Yea I'm not sure how Mayock came up with that. Orakpo is very solid and imo doesn't fit the "boom or bust" description at all, the way that a player like Maybin does.

On the radio I heard them saying something about Buffalo shying away from Texas players because of Dock, Williams and they went on to name a few more interesting how many players from UT haven't panned out??
I think Orakpo is the real deal...time will tell.

Off the top of my head the Texas players in the NFL that I can think of are Simms, Dockery, Mike Williams, Roy Williams, Ricky Williams, Selvin Young, Vince Young. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of UT players but those are the first that came to mind. I think it's pretty ridiculous for a team to shy away from players from one school, unless it's based on their system (i.e. not drafting Florida qb's or receivers). Maybe Orakpo doesn't pan out but I haven't been this confident about one of our first round picks since we drafted Sean Taylor.

Yea I agree note sure if its true but they were saying it's why they passed on Orakpo??

I am not sure that Blache and the defensive coaches utilized Taylor correctly and maybe someone should have looked at the cost of the picks and if Taylor would be worth the cost on the "downside" of that transaction as well as the "upside" of the transaction - we'll never really know...
I agree completely. We had to make the Taylor deal and I think if he was used as a RDE it would have paid more dividends. It was really disappointing it didn't work out well, but if Taylor gives us two productive years, it would have been viewed as a genius move. I think that just a #2 would have sufficed though, at least in this year's draft. The Skins do have a penchant for getting fleeced on these deals, giving up a little too much. We had servicable guys like Demetric Evans who would have worked out.

Yea, I meant for the NFC East. I never know what the raiders are doing. Besides Crabtree, Heyward-Bey has more upside than any receiver, but Crabtree is clearly money. And their second rounder was reach from hell.
