Iran condemns U.S. in Iraq

You know, I do not want this to turn political. I experimented just to see when I posted a thread on Samali Pirates. My father (rest his soul) told me never discuss politics or religion. So I want to keep this as a thread to post your opinion and not to upset your fellow man.

I have a Jewish friend that tells me this is the way it is and always has been in the Middle East. He thinks (and his father is a Professor) that the Muslim nations and Jewish nation will never change and always be at war.

This article I am posting doesn't have a lot to do with this but it is all related at the same time. It amused me when I read this article about how it is. Wasn't Iran a hated rival of Iraq? I am confused over this whole Shi'ite and Sunni thing and the relation that Iran has with the US atm. Is anyone else? Listen, I am 41 years old. I learn things every day and I am just curious if I can hear without upsetting others. I do not want people to attack each other just express your opinion please. Maybe I might learn something :)

I condemn Iran in Iran so there.

I could really care what that nutjob says, and btw don't be afraid to talk politics. People get heated but if you have an opinion there's no reason not to voice it.

Sorry... I find this confusing. You wish to discuss what is, fundamentally, a polarizing political topic, but don't want it to be political.

Good luck. :?

lol dont be confused I am merely saying don't get at each others throats. I know its contradicting but I don't want to see people fight over it. Understand?

Hmm, now that I am rereading (if thats a word) this maybe I should express myself a little different. Its difficult to express myself with words unless you know me. I am trying my best. If anyone can explain the difference between Shi'ite and Sunni please do. I always thought they were one and the same. There is also the confusing factor of violence in the Middle East & Jews and Arabs. I grew up in a house full of hippies so this is all a hard concept for me. Just trying to figure this out. You can poke fun at me or try to help. Just trying to live and get along. OK?
