The perfect defense
iv'e been thinking what if we traded up to seattle without loosing or 13th pick in the draft. Then during the draft, draft orakpo from texas at DE during the fourth pick to compliment griffen, haynesworth, and carter. Then with the 13th pick draft ray ray. Then we have all the defensive wholes complete with the line up being
SS: Horton
FS: Landry
CB: Hall, Rogers
LB: Macintosh, Fletcher, ray ray
DE: carter, orakpo
DT: griffen, haynesworth

Umm... that'd be a neat trick. How would that happen? Trade away the entire 2009 draft and half of the 2010 draft?
I was thinking the same thing. It would be great to have two top 15 picks but I don't see how that would ever happen.
Suck and Luck
We need more draft picks and if we can get Seattle to give us their pick at #4, I'm all for it. Please explain though how we get Seattle's pick without giving up any draft picks?
We need more draft picks for this year AND next and we do not need to give away any draft picks
Please clarify this suggestion? Which players do we have that Seattle wants?

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

The answer to getting a (potential) franchise QB is both simple and painful ... have a season that completely sucks so we get a top 2 draft choice in 2010.The QB class is (so I've read) much stronger next year.
I'm with you so far - the only question I have is how do we trade up?
In order to rebuild this team, we do not want to lose any draft picks in the next 3 drafts AND if anything we need to get more draft picks! That is NON NEGOTIABLE.
I agree we need a future HOF QB and the process is "painful" but this next season is already looking painful - now, we can really help this team by having the #4 AND #13 pick in this draft but I just can't for the life of me see how that is possible and I'm just a little curious

May not need to draft up to get him. I have seen a couple mock drafts that have him falling to 13. I even saw one where he fell all the way to 23. I think that last is CRAZY! BUT, I wouldn't be shocked if he was there at 13. Two weeks ago I would have been, but not now.

I don't understand...how??
And I wouldn't be so sure we're gonna pick up a defensive player with our ONLY first round draft pick.
Maybe we can trade up for the whole first round then the whole team would be young and good...lets do that

I don't understand the question. You're asking if we're in favor of magically getting the 4th pick without even giving up the 13th? Who would say no to that? On the other hand, this isn't even Fantasy much less Hog Wash. We would need a forum for more fantasy then fantasy to answer this question. We need to go to the "tripping" forum with other such penetrating questions as, "What if we could get magically get Tom Brady?" What if we could get Vince Lombardi back from the dead for HC? And speaking of rising from the dead, would we want JKC back to replace not ready for prime time Danny Boy? Um...YES!

This is by far the best chance. I've been seeing it coming for years.
