Giants season tickets.
My brother just got a call for season tickets for the new Giants stadium:
Coaches club: $700/ticket/game with $20k PSL
Field 3 (cheapest): $120/ticket/game with $5k PSL
Danny hasn't gouged us NEARLY that bad. I'm liking theDanny more and more...

And that warrants a pair of crappy entry level seats to cost $12k?

Don't know, I am not a ticket salesman.
You can only sell what consumers will buy, and this consumer would laugh heartily at that price. I was asking if Cooter the Consumer would pay that for section 420 row 20ish comparable seats.

I can agree with your mentality. But the disparity in price is quite large and regardless of new stadium and Super Bowl appearances, I do not think the extra price is worth it, especially considering the Jets share that stadium.

I have never been to the new stadium, but I have been to RFK (3 times), the old Vet (once), and Yankee Stadium (countless).
I've also been to Camden Yards once. The difference is incredible.
There's something to be said about the history of a building, but nostalgia means nothing when you have about three minutes to find your kid a bathroom. The new Meadowlands will be a significant upgrade over the old one, but from what I'm hearing on the local radio, the sales are not going the way it was anticipated.
The economy tanked at exactly the wrong time for this kind of undertaking. The New Yankee stadium and CitiField (Los Mets) are in similarly dire straits. The concept of a PSL is not going over well, to say the least.

Thank you, TC, for actually understanding my intent. The fact that it is actually being a Giants cost is irrelavent, but the insane cost in general being passed upon the consumer was more my point. Does it really matter if it was FedEx or RFK the PSLs are being called unfair? Would a better (based on nastalgia) stadium warrant the owner building a new team and expecting the consumers/fans to come off of additional thousands of dollars in order for them to recoup costs, without any input from the consumer? I was merely pointing out, no.

Arkansas-TAMU begins a 10 year series in the new Cowboys stadium. The cheapest tickets in the nosebleed are $185 and the nice seats on the lower level cost $300 and you have to have reached a required donation level to your respective school to even qualify to get those tickets.
I'll be a freshman at Arkansas... The STUDENT tickets for that game in Dallas will be $50. That is straight bull. I can afford it, but lots of kids won't be able to when you also have to drive down there, probably stay a night, and then drive back. And hell... That doesn't include concessions.
