YEA, I made a mistake. I had two topics open and posted the wrong reply in this topic. So I quickly edited my post and put "N/T". Which means, no text.

Sorry about that.

I could see this argument having merit if they were traded even up, but Denver must have felt that Portis is better or they wouldn't have demanded Washington's 2nd.

Obviously Washington agreed or they wouldn't have included the pick.

Hate to agree with a Cowboy fan but for some reason I believe you.

Yes, it does...doesn't it ? However, Curveball is a great Cowboy's fan. He keeps his bad stuff for Smack, and puts the good stuff up for the rest of us.
There are those who most certainly do NOT follow in his footsteps. No names necessary, I'm sure.
IMHO, we'll be fine with Portis and Springs. Smoot is not the man he was when he blew into town with the Smootmobile. He's all grown up now. Last year, he played with a pain that hopefully you or I will never know. He couldn't draw breath without tasting blood. Still, he was there, and I have to believe that his courage and tenacity will translate to improving play and coverage.

I can tell a total difference in him already. At the draft day party he was on the radio but every single commercial break he was relentlessly signing as many autographs as he could fit in. He seems to be coming around to fitting into that Mr. Redskin mold that was left vacant with Green's retirement.
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

Oh, a DG plug ! Wow, Niki ! :) Boy, am I missing that guy. My son wears his #28 jersey to bed every night. I'm not kidding. I wash that darned shirt three times a week.
You know what, though ? I'm liking Smoot for that title, at least until Taylor plays a snap or two. I also like Jansen (and hopefully, Lavar) for the same honor.
Still, I love how Taylor is jumping right in. Hopefully, he picks a good agent that gets him what he deserves and gets him on the field where we need him most.
'night, now.

Smoot has really impressed me with his tenacity and toughness during his time with the skins. He's definately come a long way from his "Smoot-smack" days. Listening to him on redskins radio in D.C., you can tell he's maturing into a gibbs/redskins/d.green type player. I wish guys like him and Cartwright received more credit.
