Canty signs with the Giants

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Canty signs with the Giants

Post by VetSkinsFan »

Giants signedDL Chris Canty to a six-year, $42 million contract. The deal includes $17.25 million in guarantees.

An already loaded defensive line gets better, and a lot bigger. Canty gives New York the option of showing more 3-4 looks to disguise blitzes. The Giants may also ask him to bulk up and play tackle at a John Henderson-like position. At 6'7/304, he can likely afford to carry more weight. Canty isn't a dominant rusher, but commands attention and can bat down passes with his long arms. The Giants will keep their linemen fresh in a heavy rotation. Mar. 1 - 5:13 pm et
...any given Sunday....

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

The Giants were already stacked at DL... this won't be pretty. Bill Sheridan is an astute coach, who was able to get max performance from his linebackers. This will be scarey stuff.

They're going to be like the Giants d on tecmo superbowl, tough to block

I like the Dockery signing but this just reinforces to me that we still need to upgrade the OLine

I still can't believe Canty got that size of a contract. If he was so good, why wasn't Dallas trying to keep him? Do they know things the Giants don't?

Maybe his career high of 3.5 sacks?

Canty is Renaldo Wynn V2.
