Eagles lose Dawkins to the Broncos
Now this guy was a 13 year vet but I guess they thought they should move on - this guy was a helluva safety for that defense

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

It will be weird to see him in another uniform.
I say he's John Lynch 2.0.
I think he would have been most successful if he stayed in Philly.

You might have a point there Jake - not to take anything away from one of the better safeties to play the game he also did benefit from playing with a very good coach and with some very good players around him and he was very comfortable with that group. I think he will be okay but you might be right - he might have been better off staying with that defense and that team.
This is what concerns me a little about spending so much on a couple of players when we have so many other guys that have to play well in this defense for those 2 to be worth what we are paying out over the next few years. Don't get me wrong, I know you have to pay to get quality players but you also have to have 11 other very good players on defense or offense in order to be successful.

John Lynch was mostly a hitter at the end of his career. John Lynch lost most of his coverage skills. Dawkins on the other hand still had his coverage speed. Either way I am glad we do not have to face him anymore.
Sean Taylor starting free safety Heavens team!
