huh? Zeron Flemister is a free agent. We did not resign him.

He can sign anywhere he wants. He'll probably get a minimum salry, and I am surprised that the Chargers have not contacted him. Zeron is one of Marty's boys.

I loved the way Marty took his DC boys to San Diego. What a reward for those who gave us are last "almost winning" season in DC. Fun, Sun, Beaches, oy yeah, and football. What a gift. How's Stephen Alexander these days, by the way?

Stephen is nursing is glass legs. He's got a Costco bucket of super glue at his bedside.

Alexander was actually Norv Turner's boy (drafted)...but like Raymer, Alexander went over to the Chargers with Marty.

Flemister was an undrafted free agent in 2000 I believe, and Marty gave him praise in 2001 when he filled in for injured Stephen Alexander. Thats why i am shocked Marty didn't scoop Flemister up.

The guys Marty picked up in his one year here (remember he had full control of roster/draft, etc.) is:

Rod Gardner
Fred Smoot
Sage Rosenfels
Darnerian McCants
Mario Monds

Pretty good considering all of those guys are still in the NFL, Darnerian being the diamond in the rough pick.

Yes, we let Alexander go at the right time. He had a couple of great seasons for us but would have cost waaay to much money.

I agree with you oafusp that Marty made some good pickups while he was here. But what really makes me excited is that Gibbs guaranteed that at least one of our UDFA will make a Pro Bowl. How can you not love that?

Right on. It seems both of these old coaches brought character to our team, and accountability. UNfortunately for Marty, he has the personality of a brick wall, and his players won't respond the way our guys will for Joe.

Cooley will be a good draft pick, so let Flemister go. I didn't like him too much anyway.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! He is gone.

This is killing me. This whole offseason people on this board have been assuming Zeron Flemister is still with the Redskins.

He was not RESIGNED after the 2003 season, he is an UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT

Maybe this thread should be under league news....since Zeron is no longer a Skin...confusing people

Actually he said that there would be a probowler amongst all of the UDFA's, not specifically ours.

Ok! We get it. Sorry, I forgot the contract status of an obscure journeyman TE.

Oafusp said a smart thing. Post this kind of ex-skin movement in the NFL news forum. IMO once a player has been let go, traded, or quit by signing with another team - they are no longer worthy of attention in my burgundy and gold dominated world.

If it has anything to do with the Skins, it should be posted in Hog Wash.
