That's a good point. There is all this talk about Thomas, Kelly, and Davis being more involved, but where are all of these catches going to come from? Moss andey are both going to get their number of catches and for whatever reason the Skins seem hell-bent on keeping ARE. Zorn has even talked about getting ARE more catches so I'm just wondering how exactly all of these guys are going to play a big role.
I doubt they are "hell bent on keeping ARE". Just look at his contract. He has been nearly immoveable because of the size of the bonus and length of the contract. This year is the first time where the cap hit for trading or releasing ARE would not kill us, but it would still hurt. Maybe next year, with another year of his salary off the books, we will be able to move him.
Lesson learned? Don't sign players to MEGA deals, that will entrench them on your team for 7 years depsite their production. Can you say Haynesworth?
