Champ is better. I'm making this comparison based on how well each player is at their position. Champ is a better CB than Portis is at RB. Ask any #1 receiver in the league who the hardest corner to beat was, and they'll say Champ Bailey. Ask anyone who the best running back in the league is and they'll most likely say Ladanian Tomlinson, Priest Holmes, or maybe Jamal Lewis.

Um - Jake? Didn't you vote for Clinton? I mean - it is 4 - 0 in favor of Portis :)

I think champ is better at his position, but as of now, i'd rather haver clinton portis on my team with shawn springs, instead of no clinton portis and champ bailey

Hm... I'd say Clinton anymore. No one person can fill Bailey's void, but Sean Taylor and Shawn Springs both can.

Bialey is defintly better at his position then portis. Bialey is the best cover corner in the league and portis is a top five RB. With that being said ill take a good running back over a corner any day. They have the ability to change the game more by touching the ball 25-30 times

I still have a problem with Bailey being hailed as the best. I think there are several others out there who did much better over the last two years that could make a daggone good claim to Bailey's "crown"

Ah well... We have a guy who can not only run, but catch and score much more freqently than Champ as well as control the clock for the team. I don't see Champ doing any of that.

I suspect that the question might have better been phrased as "Which player would have had the biggest impact on this years Skins" or something like that. Portis, if he continues to contribute to potential HOF #'s will undoubtedly be much more of an impact than Champ ever was.

There isn't a more effective shut down corner than ball control offense that works, IMO.

Hey... I like that...

Very simple...how many RB can you name in the same breath as Portis a half dozen at least. Now how many CB can you name in the same breath as Champ maybe 3!

LOL - I ain't a gonna get into this with you again big guy ::Grin::

I just bet when the time of possession is so much better, the sack totals are down from having an effective running game, we have a 1300+ yard per year back and the defense doesn't have to play with their tongues on the turf from playing 42 minutes from the game you might see it my way.... Champ couldn't do all that by himself.

I hope it that instead of a long pass play over Springs that keep the D off the field.

Me seeing your way LOL!!

do NOT make me tie you up into a pretzel man... I would hate to do that to ya ::grin::

must have FAITH!

Dude... Champ is gone ::grin:: he sucks now - he wears the wrong colors, is in the wrong conference...

Portis is the MAN... gotta be faithful to the team and not a player ::grin::

Oh I am Rich...always team over player! I was just answering the question. Taking my bias out of it I would rather have Champ and Bell over Portis any day of the week.

it's obvious that portis is better..why else would we have given the broncos bailey AND a 2nd round pick for an inferior player??

Champ who? Is he even on our roster? Why are we talking about this guy anymore? Wait until the Skins line up against the Broncows at this year's SuperBowl before bringing "Champ Faileys name up again. With Buges manning the line, Portis will be unstoppable this year.
Back and better than ever!
