NO. I'm sure if he stomped on a few puppies there would be a greater uproar and possibly prison time.

Your straw man won't walk, and hyperbole does nothing but prop up a fragile argument. Despite your efforts, my opposition to Haynesworth is based on team needs first of all. He is a beast on the line, no doubt. He is also oft injured, and will cost a fortune. We have far too many needs to address to afford him.

While it does not change my opinion of Haynesworth as an undisciplined, temper tantruming bully, I acknowledge that it was an impulsive act, committed upon a cogent adult who knew the risks and made his own choices... not at all the same as a carefully considered and calculated series of inhuman felonies committed upon dependent beasts.

We will simply have to agree to disagree.

None the less, even a Cowboy has the right to an intact face... hideous though it might be.

Wow... straw man returns.

Do you have any idea what Haynesworth did? Didn't think so.

Let's see... spit in face. nasty stuff... no one goes blind. No sutures. No potential facial fractures...

Stomping on face and then grinding, with 3/4 inch steel reinforced spikes, under the force of a 340 pound body. Victim is lying on the ground with no helmet or face mask, and completely defenseless.

Yeah... just the same...

Yeah... I liked Sean.

No cheap shots, felons, sadists, woman-beaters, or night club igniters!

I say sign Hall if the price is right.

It's nice to have a secondary that's good enough to wonder if we should keep D Hall.

I wish we could say that about the O-line.

Can everyone get off the Haynesworth stepped on someones face BS. He did it once, he had an excuse for why he did it, he paid his penalty for doing it, and it was against a Dallas Cowboy.

Lets move on he has not done it since. He's been a choir boy this season. Lets chalk it up to immaturity.

Now having said that I would like to have him but he probably will cost too much. I've seen projections where they say we will probably only have .3 mill after we get done cutting players and resigning our current players that the Skins are expected to keep.

Any news on whether he is signing with the Redskins long term? I hope he does, I think he has fit well with the scheme, and can only get better. Think about that secondary, Smoot, Hall, Rogers, Horton, and Landry, with a full training camp together, who would want to throw at them?

He He He.
I was thinking of what happened to our O-line last year when pondering my stick and it hit me. Those old guys got trampled.

What, exactly, is "pondering my stick"? Is it considered a felony is some places, like, say...a playground?
Thanks!

He said he was a pondering mystic... I think.

That would be an improvement over a pandering mystic, and certainly more legal than pondering his stick at a playground. Let's hope you are correct...

As an elderly member, I'd feel much better were he to prove the thoughful type. Doesn't "Tread Gently Upon the Elderly" sound much friendlier?

I think "Pandering Mystic" would be a great name for a band.
Before we go any further, I'd like to reiterate my interest in keeping D. Hall at a reasonable price, and letting Springs go to Dallas to be by his father and telling Carlos to be quiet.
Thank you.

Stupid question, if you're asking me, which it appears that you are. Of course you try to keep the best hands in the Skins secondary. He doesn't look to be the bad guy that everyone made him out to be. He's cocky, yes. But he's also pretty good.

Agreed, I say we keep him; he had an immediate impact when he got here and there's obviously so much room for improvement and he seems up for the challenge.
