If this holds up it would almost be worth the Eagles going this far, only to lose to the CARDINALS!!!!

Hail to the Redskins!

While it would be amusing to see the Eagles fans faces after losing to the Cards, I'd still prefer to see their faces after losing yet ANOTHER superbowl...
It must truly stick in their craw that every other NFC East team has multiple Lombardi trophies in their cases... the Eagles do not have one.
None the less, I'm really impressed with Deshawn Jackson's play. The kid plays smart, and does not quit.

Cardinal fans have endured eons of poor play and deserve at least a little glory
Why? The league had to extend the deadline for a sellout 3 times in order to avoid a local blackout. They really don't deserve crap. Even in Philly, who's fans I truly detest, they would have sold out immediately.

Who are the Cardinals?
This is all about death to the Eagles. Not a quick and easy death, but a drawn out and painful one. Not a glorious death but an embarrassing one. This was, a perfect day.... Even if the Ravens win it can't screw this up.

While the Cardinals were never competitive when members of the NFC East, they had a history of doing more damage to Redskins post-season hopes than either the Giants or the Eagles. I have hated them since a bogus Pass Interference call in the end zone gave the Cardinals the game, and ended the Skins hopes of a post season back in the early 70's.
My point is, this was lose-lose for a skins fan. A victory by either team sucks. We needed an outcome that resulted in a loss by both teams.
Life is so unfair.

Are you thinking about the Mel Gray catch? That wasn't a case of a penalty, it was a case of the officials ruling a) he had made the catch and b) had crossed the plane -- to which we all believe he did neither, thanks to Pat Fischer.
But still .... grrrr.
And, on the sellout thing, this game sold out in six minutes. It was the Atlanta game in the first round that needed three extensions.

Yes... yes... fuzzy memory ( and, getting worse)
And, regarding the sell out... point still stands.
Could you imagine ANY playoff game not immediately selling out in ANY NFC East town???

Wow, you're old.

I sort of followed the Skins in the 70s, but they became my team in 81. The early 70s are before I recall much about football though. While I take your point that people who remember the Cards being in the division with the Skins (I do) and competitive (I don't) would feel more rivalry to the Cards then I do, I just can't see them in the same vein as the Girls or the Beagles. The Beagles are dirty and the Girls are arrogant and I hate them. While I do feel the rivalry with the Gnats I don't feel the hatred I do towards the others. Even if the Cards were in our division I don't see anything that would take me to that level of dispise.
Do you really hate the Cards to the level of Philly?

Well... that would depend upon how convincing we are when we make crap up, now, wouldn't it?
That we are being threatened by characters calling themselves "TrampleTheElderly" doesn't help. Dude, I'm a quivering mass of nerves right now.

Yeah, I wonder who that is...
I see your point on the making crap up part, it's a whole lot easier to remember what we did then what we said we did...

aint that the whole truth and nothing but the truth ...

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
