Slightly better-than-average minds DO think alike, my friend.
Those 9 points would be a killer if you were matched against me, however.

Apologies, CT. I just had to ask.

It doesn't seem like giving up points, Deadskins, particularly when I happen to think these games are going to be more low-scoring that most people think. Aren't we supposed to correctly pick as many winners as possible AND come closest to the actual point totals for the weekend?
That's all I'm trying to do, brother. If I made some major blunder by giving up points to trey particularly when I picked last, then remember I' a rookie Hognosticator, and will make mistakes from time to time.
Somebody out there enlighten me here. I'm obviously pulling a bonehead move, but for the life of me I can't see how. <sigh> Like my pappy always said, I'm what you call a size-50 coat, and a size-3 hat...
No matter the outcome, I just want to say one last time that I've had an absolute blast picking against you guys this year, and I look forward to the same next year. Thanks a million -

Since you picked the games all the same it comes down to point totals in your case. Choosing a point total of 159 would have had the same affect as 155, but would also give you the win in the case of a 158 or 159 point total outcome. As it stands, CT wins in those cases. If SkinsJock* takes the "under" on RiC, he will choose 163, if the "over" it will be 165. No sense in giving any extra points away if you have HFA.

In other words, the REAL onus in these situations lies on the shoulders of the first Hognosticator. The task of the first one is to come as close as possible to the REAL score. The job of the second one is to assess if the first one under- or over-estimated the total number of points.

Countertrey wrote:Correct. The result in the case of CT and BRD is that BRD very generously gave CT 2 extra points of breathing space. Thank you, sir.
It will be your undoing, rook.

Trust me... Week 7 knew EXACTLY what it was doing.
