When Jones was traded to Dallas in April, Tennessee received a fourth-round draft pick. The Titans were also supposed to get a sixth-rounder next year, but because Jones was suspended again, Dallas will instead receive a fifth-round pick in 2009.
That makes no sense. Why would the 'Pies get a fifth-rounder? Was there a clause in the trade agreement that if he got suspended again, Dallas would get some compensation back? If so, that makes me think the whole bodyguard incident may have been staged so the Pie's could bail out on what obviously turned out to be a bad deal Jerrah made.

This should help
According to ESPN and the AP, the Cowboys have traded their fourth round pick in this weekend's NFL Draft to the Tennessee Titans for cornerback/returner Adam "Pacman" Jones. If Jones plays "significant" time for the Cowboys in 2008, the Titans will receive an additional pick in 2009. If Jones is not reinstated or does not play for the Cowboys in 2008, the Titans will send their 2009 fourth round pick to Dallas. To facilitate the trade, Jones agreed to restructure/extent his contract by refunding some of his guaranteed money to Tennessee and removing all guaranteed money from his contract with Dallas.

Well that help's a little, but the Titans are giving up a fifth, not a fourth, so I'm still not sure, but it does seem as if the Pies had some safety nets built into the deal. Still makes me wonder about the whole bodyguard fight, though.

I had a Raider fan come into my work yesterday and told me that the Redskins are trying to sign Adam Jones. I have looked everywhere and don't see this.

It was a Raiders fan...
And Pacman is a worthless human being.
Hey man even know this guy is a Raider fan, he is one of the few respectful Raider fans that I know. In fact he talks about the Redskins all the time and has alot of respect for the Redskins. Anyways, on to Pacman this situation that this came up the other day I think is stupid. Okay, so if he really did this then why is this coming up a year and half later? How come nobody said anything when it happened? How come when Jerry Jones did a background check on Pacman before he traded for him that he didn't find out about this? You know I think that Pacman is really trying to change his life, but because of his past no matter what happens Pacman will always look like the bad guy. As far as the situation with his bodyguard that was completly blown way out of proportion. And Pacman did not throw any punches in fact his bodyguard was the one the punched Pacman, because they had a disagreement.

Well that is rare just like finding smart Ravens fans but Ive met one or two.
