Who do you believe has final say on coaching/player personne
SO do we really believe that Danny has turned it all over to Vinny

The owner may have the "final" say because it's ultimately their money.
However, I really think that Snyder has learned his lesson about meddling (what's it done for Jerry Jones lately?) I truly believe that Snyder has delegated player personnel decisions fo Vinny Cerrato... and that's for the best.
(However, the question is double barreled. I think Vinny has player personnel control but not coaching personnel control. That is almost always reserved for the owner, in fact I can't think of one head coach who doesn't report in some way to the owner of the franchise.)

I can't control it, so I'm not going to debate some nonsense that no one can prove. Doesn't matter who has control, we can't do anything about it.

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

You guys are reading into it too much…I purposely said FINAL for a reason. Of course the owner is going to have input but when there is a difference of opinion who has the final say as far as the Redskins are concerned?? A good owner will default to the “football guy” the GM…if he didn’t how would he evaluate him…The GM could just say well that’s not the guy I wanted.
I think we have been given glimpses of who’s in control…When Vinny says we’ll evaluate the coaches after the season and than does a 180 and says Zorn will be back it make him look like an idiot…why not just say that Zorn will be back when asked or do like you say and wait until the end of the season?? Why because he doesn’t have final say…Danny does…but bet this Vinny will be the fall guy when it gets blown up next year…then what who will want to be the HC then??
I think another example is last years draft...what GM goes out and pick two WR’s and a TE when you have more pressing needs?? I tell who an uninformed owner…then he has Vinny explain it by saying we take the best available…sorry but there were much better players available when you drafted those three IMHO

I don't think it's that simple. I think the coaches have had their say in players all the way back to Spurrier.
Look at Spurrier's QB's
Gibbs came in and hand picked Brunell, took credit for Campbell and Portis. Williams vouched for Fletcher. Zorn got Alexander a job mid-season.
Those are just the strongest examples that come to mind.
I'm sure the coaches have a bigger impact on player personell than some people would like to believe.

Of course its Danny. The owner always has final say. He is the one paying the contract! Foolish question.
This is a business first and foremost.
Yes but the smart owners delegate it to the GM. You think Wayne Huizenga tells Parcells what to do??

and that is the sorry state we are in for who knows how long

Snyder is not going to hire someone who knows what he's doing and let that person show everyone how bad we have been doing in player evaluations and acquisition.

we have to hope that Cerrato will continue to get lucky with the players we bring in here and that both he and Snyder will continue to act with the restraint they have shown for the past year
No matter who is making the final decision we need to have as many draft picks as possible each year and hope that over the next few years these guys start producing big time - it does not look good but Snyder is such a loose cannon that he is just as likely to make another stupid change for absolutely no reason - that is who he is

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

This is true. But the question of this post was who has the final say.
Whenever a Big free agent or new contract dealing with big dollars the owner will always have the final say.
Even the Tuna has to run it by the owner if he is considering bringing in a high priced free agent or awarding one of the players a contract extension.

Y'know, some have speculated that the only reason Campbell is still the starting QB is because of pressure by Dan and Vinny.
The theory is that they insist on keeping him the starter so they don't look "foolish" by drafting a "bad" QB.
If that were the case, and they were so concerned about looking foolish about their draft picks, then why didn't we see more of Thomas, Kelly and Davis this year?
It would seem, that if they were putting pressure on the coach to play the players they drafted so they didn't look foolish, then Zorn would have been forced to put Kelly, Thomas and Davis on the field as early as possible.
I think Zorn has input as to the players he needs, and autonomy on who he feels is the best player to go out on the field.
I honestly believe that if Colt looks better than Jason in camp this year, that Zorn will play him.

Because ARE and Moss are also Snyder boys. They even said Dan fell in love with Santana when he was with Miami. Collins is a Saunders boy, and Colt is a Zorn guy. There that answers your question. Rogers there thinking of getting rid of because thats not a Danny and Vinny guy, thats a Greg Williams guy.
To answer the question though, Dan Snyder has the most say and makes most of the player personal decisions. Santana Moss is one of the few he got right.
