Who the hell are the people saying this anyway? Which team do you draw paychecks from? Do you watch the games with a stopwatch? It's just absurd for fans to be saying this, especially when NO ONE ELSE IN THE LEAGUE says this!

Bologna! Go and watch some Dan Marino or Peyton Manning clips. That is what a quick release is. Then go ahead and watch some Jason Campbell highlights. There is at least a full second of differential in there release.

The worst case of slow release is probably Byron Leftwitch or Vince Young.

Jason Campbell is on the verge of setting a new team mark for lowest interception percentage in a season.

Campbell has thrown 476 passes with just six interceptions, a 1.26 percentage. That would best the previous mark of 1.60 set by Mark Brunell in 2006.

Really? You post this? Who gives a crap about lowest INT % when you're comparing dink and dunkers? Is it me, or is it kind of hard to throw an INT if you don't take a chance and throw the ball actually past the first down marker?

Now I'm not saying he's the worst QB since Shuler, but he really isn't very good...at all. I don't care how much some people say that he's improved, because he still can't score any points. If it weren't for Portis being the stud that he was at the beginning of the season, Campbell would've looked about as good then as he has the latter half of the season. Teams had a reason to to allow Campbell to throw, they had to defend Portis. now, they all seem to know that with Portis hurt and Campbell unwilling to throw over their collective heads, they can (and should) still try to defend the ailing Portis. I find it somewhat amusing that Defenses find an injured Portis more of a threat than a healthy Campbell.

To put things into the proper perspective...

Portis has scored 8 rushing touchdowns.

Sure he's accounted for a sizeable chunk of the Redskins offensive production (team total: 4852 yards) with his 1407 rushing yards, and 218 recieving yards, but he hasn't exactly been our offensive scoring threat either.

Now before anybody goes and starts blaming the coaching for his lack of touchdowns, ask how that's any different from Campbell's excuse for the very same indictment.

So, let me get this straight...

Portis accounts for roughly 1/3 of the Redskins total yards this year and Jason gets credit with roughly the remaining 2/3. Portis has scored 8 TDs with those numbers, while Campbell only 12? The guy touches the ball EVERY snap (excluding one or two total)! How does he only get 4 more touchdowns with that many more touches and more options than Portis has?

Now, while I don't think much of Campbell, I do agree to a OPEN competition in camp. I just don't trust the term "open" when it comes to coaches. The coach usually has a preconceived idea as to who he wants, "open" competition or not. {see Joe Gibbs} If this is the case then I seriously hope that Zorn wants Brennen. Now, if Zorn is actually willing to honor the term "open," then I'll be content with his decision.

No, because JC, based on his track record is going to fail, and than we get no return for our investment in him, and piss away a first, third, and 4th.

JC had a terrible game against the Gaints in the opening. Second of all, coaches thought WC, there pass oriented. So when they found out we were a one faceted football team, and wanted to run first, the opposition decided lets change strategy and put the ball in JC's hands. By NO STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION can JC threaten us.

I don't know about you, but I am not comfortable with a Qb that can not perform unless his running game is the best in the league.

In college he only had one good year, that was with the 2nd and 5th pick in the draft sharring carries as the rb. In the NFL, he only had 4 good games, and thats when Portis was playing out of his mind.

I am sorry I don't want a qb that can only play solid when the rb is playing out of his mind. Some games the Qb has to pick up the slack, and JC in college, and the pro's, has proven that he can not do that. The running game has to be unreal for him to have a solid game. Cut our losses and lets trade him. Because next year we won't get anything back

I hate it when people try to blame the line, how is the line's fault when it takes JC ten minutes to throw the ball. Its not the line, he can't make decisions quick enough, and against Philly he should have had two turnovers, one was that fumble were it just accidently "slipped" out of his hands, than luckily Asante Samual had no hands. This is all with good protection and time in the pocket.

Hpw does Matt Hasselbeck sound for competition? The dude is old and could be released by Seattle. I think Zorn would be very pleased to have him as a replacement if Campbell is injured, and could bring in good competition.

I really find it hard to believe that anyone could support this premise - we have many issues with this team and the FO but to think that "the main problem is JC." is just an amazing statement and is also really very informative about the poster IMHO

He is the main problem, last year even proved it. We need a better Qb, last week when given ample time JC was still ineffective.

He even had two people basically all by themselves, and he over threw them by like 15 ft, both in a row. I am not informative, you must be if you don't think JC is the main problem.

Bill Parcells has too good of a track record, to say he got lucky. Second of all, fantasy does not mean jack. Campbell is not having a good year, he had a string of four good games. Favre has been consistent.

Favre does not have the weapons around him that JC does. Coles is his best Wr. Moss is far better. Favre also does not have a Te near the status of ey. JC's two best targets are better than Favre's best one.

Third of all, Portis is far better than any rb in the Favre backfield. Numbers are decieving. JC is not as good as Favre, and looking at team turnaround, there's no comparison Favre is better than JC.

By the way Favre also doesn't have a top 5 D supporting him. JC numbers maybe similar but his supporting cast is far stronger, than Bretts.
