So, here you guy, draft geniuses. Git R Dun!! Show me the money! Help me, help you. Keep in mind, we're not replacing Portis with the newest AP. Keep in mind, we're not repacing

No hindsight here, and use OUR potential mid round draft positions. I can filter thru the draft of 2005 and say "GOD, VINNY, YOU'RE AN IDIOT, YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN <insert name here>!!!1!!"

My draft strategy would be to cut everyone over 28 on our team and trade our First through Fourth round picks for low round picks, and then pick only hidden gems in the late rounds and the undrafted who can start for us the first year. So for example, we replace our entire O and D lines and draft a couple of stud receivers to replace the boobs we did last year who need to LEARN to play receiver wasting the entire first year. Oh, and with a 6th rounder we pick a HOF bound QB, like the Pats did with Brady so we can cut JC. I bet those idiots you refer to, Dan the Man and My Cousin Vinnie screw THAT great idea up though. They're such nit wits.

Lol. You forgot picking up the new franchise left tackle as an undrafted free agent.

In the first 4 rounds, we have a 1st and a 3rd this year. That's it.
VetSkinsFan wrote:You all aren't getting it. I'm not talking about vague, general ideals. I want names. draft rounds. If you're feeling froggy, you can throw in FA acquisitions that could actually work. The FO/Vinny/ect are so stupid, let's see what THN gurus can do. I'm eliminating the LOOK WHAT THIS GUY DID, AND WE DIDN'T DRAFT HIM hindsight genius and letting the gurus show us how easy it is to draft quality guys in the NFL.
VetSkinsFan wrote:DE, you get my point, it seems to escape other people. In the recent rants about "we should have gotten this guy," I wanted to eliminate the the people who like to research a <almost> full year's play and then say, "God, we should have gotten Royal instead of Kelly. Royal's performed so much better! God, the front office is stupid!!!!" With this hindsight "duh" factor, any tool can figure out who's performed AFTER they've performed. I wanted to get a few realistic mock drafts from these hindsighters so they can break their arms patting themselves on the back. After all, if it's so easy, shouldn't they be able to do it?

Yea I see your point...very hard to do with the Cap and accounting for our FA but here' smy best shot....
The theme for this offseason would be to continue to get younger!!!
QB’s not going to do anything here…We would not give Jason a new contract
It works itself out by how he’s plays next year if he can show he’s an NFL QB he stays if not we move in a different direction.
RB’s Not much we can do with Portis…I’m going to try and get a 4th round pick for Betts. Replace him with a speed back like Sproles or Fred Jackson
WR the only thing I’d do here is try to upgrade James Thrash…I love the guy but it may be time…I don’t mind Randle EL but he should be our #4 Guys I would look at are Reggie Williams, Sam Hurd and Bryant Johnson….TJ and Antonio Bryant are going to cost To much and we really don't have the need after drafting Kelly and Thomas!!
TE’s we are Ok here.
OL…Let Kendall test the FA market cut Jansen and Fabini.
Bring in G and T via the draft.
DL… biggest need in my opinion we should be able to re-sign Golston and Montgomery for a reasonable price. This is the only place I’m spending FA money...make a hard push for Haynesworth or Harris…I think our DE’s would be so much better if we had a guy that commanded a double team in the middle.
LB…needs to be addressed draft a LB, re-sign Campbell for ST
DB…need to re-sign Hall rework or cut Springs if Hall get signed trade Smoot for a 5th round pick
Draft…I’d look to trade #1 for a 2nd and 4th so that would give us a 2nd, 3rd ,two 4th,5th and 6th
2nd round pick G Herman Johnson 6-7 349!! I’m taking a G first because T is much deeper in this year’s draft... big guy who can run!!
3rd round pick OT Russell Okung 6-5 300- OK State He can play T or G I like that he played in the pass happy SW Conference I think your OT should be better pass blocker than run blocker and that your G should be better run blocker.
4th round LB Clay Matthews USA 6-4 240…playmakers and get us a little taller at LB
4th round DT Ron Brace 6-3 330 Something about BC linemen…that translate to the NFL they have a great program up there…big run stopper who can get to the QB.
5th K Sam Swank 9-12 in career from 50+
6th FS Lendy Holmes 6-2 205 I like LaRon at SS still looking for a good FS
After the draft I’m signing DE.C,T,G,DT, LB,RB that did not get drafted
I liked most of what you had to say.. only thing I dislike is the drafting of another safety.. I am happy with Landry and Horton back there.. would use that pick on another LB personally
I also agree but. with the #3 pick I would take Zack FolletVetSkinsFan wrote:I liked most of what you had to say.. only thing I dislike is the drafting of another safety.. I am happy with Landry and Horton back there.. would use that pick on another LB personally
PLUS we have Kareem Moore still who seems to be slowly getting snaps.

Also with #5 pick I would take
Matt Slauson, Nebraska
He was arrested for vandalism.

ldbrown wrote:Yeeea! Mike Mayock his one of my OT choices on his list of top five OT. Now doesn't like that much but, that from at LT. We need a RT which he would be good at because he would not go up against pass-rushing DE. He more of the Jansen mold.
DEhog you talk bad about my last message but, what about Zack Follet tell about your thoughts.
