And I am sure some of you (if not all of you) have but I thought I would bring this up.

The Skins have scored 231 points this season, 9 less than the 0-14 Lions (who they almost lost to), 42 more than the Rams (who they lost to), 57 more than the Bangles (who they lost to), and 23 less than the 2-12 Chiefs (who they would lose to).

This team is LUCKY to be 7-7 at this point. I was of the opinion early that the team looked good. I even predicted they would finish 11-5. What the heck happened? This is by far the most pitiful offense I have seen. The Skins have an All-Pro RB, WR, and TE, and a defense that is giving up only 19 points a game.

Is Zorn the only one to blame? How about JC? The O-Line?

I am an Os fan, and the motto among several fans for the last few years has been BLOW IT UP! Is it time to blow up the Skins roster and rebuild? The Skins would stink for a few years, but I would rather stink and get younger and better through the draft than muddle along at 7-9, 8-8, or 9-7 every year.

You start at the O line.

Everything else is secondary. Even a medium QB can give you good results with an above average line.

Until the line is completely revamped, I don`t see this team as contenders. Samuels and Rabach remain as starters. Everyone else can stay as backups. I'm not factoring in the massive contracts the linemen have, so if they want to stay as backups they'd have to agree to a paycut.

First of all, in order for the Orioles to blow it up they'd need one or two star players. The Indians blew up their team and were able to come back a few years later by trading Bartolo Colon, Milton Bradley and others for most of their current talent...

Sorry to digress.

I agree we're "lucky" to be at 7-7 in that it could have been worse... but an overachieving team gives away its draft position.

More than anything we need to draft some more linemen, but who knows who'll be available at our pick.

I think if we just blew up the offensive and defensive lines that would help make this team a lot better.

We probably just will sign Matt Cassel this offseason and he'll magically overcome the defincies on our offensive line.

Right Tackle is where to start. When you start letting Renaldo Wynn come off the strong side for a sack you need new right tackles. Jansen is done, Heyer never had it. Maybe get a stud tackle, put him at right and groom him to take over for Samuels. Also more than likely bring a guard in, and hope Rinehart is ready to win a spot next year. Then get a large DT and LDE to restore the elite run defense. That in turn should lead to more third and longs and more blitz situations. If possible, get a pass rushing OLB to replace blades, who will be the versatile backup. If any non-line splash is to be made, make it an established WR. I hope some of the offensive woes will correct themselves with experience in the system. If Zorn doesn't trust Betts to run when portis is hurt than get a second RB. This isn't even really all the issues. Ignoring the draft leads to situations like this.

None of this makes sense being that once again we are over the cap by 2mil and it would probably cost us like 30mil to do that. So pointless to talk about.

Agree with Brad. Will add, I think many fans try to over-simplify the teams problems by pointing to one thing as the problem. We have some good offensive lineman and as a unit, they were leading the league in rushing yards in the first half of the season. I agree they are old, but then, you don't get many Pro Bowl lineman at 23 and 24. So, we need more depth at OL and we need to improve specifically at RT. Those two things could be enough depending on how you improve the rest of the offense. Our passing game desperately needs a top tier WR who is a factor inside the 20. Not sure how that can be accomplished given the lack of huge cap space for a free agent like Housh and the cap hit we'd take by releasing ARE. Maybe Thomas and Kelly will develop, that is our best hope. Maybe Davis can become a dependable receiver in the red zone too.

Just like it only took a couple of issues to unravel our early season success, it only takes a couple of improvements to turn a team around.

Never...ever...bring the Orioles up in a Redskins board. The only guy keeping Snyder out of the top spot as the worst owner in all of sports is Peter Angelos.

Amazing to think if we'd have beat the lowly Rams (fumble) and Bengals (Sellers), we'd be looking to go 11-5 next week with one of the worst offenses in the NFL...

Eli makes a lot more pre-snap adjustments than JC does.

Eli has a running game that goes for 200 yards or more routinely ;) It's easier to call audibles and dictate the passing game to a defense when you're mauling folks in the running game.

The Skins showed heart against the Eagles, but they don't show up against the bad teams--Lions, Bangels, Rams. They play to their competition. I think the Chiefs would win based on the way the Skins have played this season. It's called a track record. The only game they slept through against a good team was the Steelers.

Let's be honest. If the Eagles WRs catch a couple of passes they should have caught, the Eagles win that game too.

Let's be honest. It's still speculation. Based on your "track records," nothing can be proven.

The Redskins hit an all-time low point with Mike Sellers inability to score from inside the 1 yard line in the Bungles game.

Do we blame the aging line for not opening a wide enough hole for the big guy to squeeze through?

I don't believe on this occasion we do.

I blame Sellers for not knowing how close he was to the goal line when he leapfrogged in the air.

If the Skins do something that doesn't work, it tends to do more damage than it does to other teams.

Whether it be a lost challenge(which the Skins seem to lose all the time)

Or if they score a TD they try and go for two and don't convert (Detroit game which they won 25-17 their largest margin of victory all season)

Too much playing not to lose, more often than not means you will lose.

I agree Fleetus, Kelly and Thomas need to mature quickly.

Malcolm Kelly has Randy-Moss like playmaking ability if he stays healthy.

The jump ball worked for him and Daunte Culpepper in Minnesota until Daunte blew out his knee.

The difference between a possible 9-7 season to a believed 11-5 finish might be at QB. Campbell is slow in reading the defensive schemes. He has not developed the timing of how to throw to a spot so his receiver can catch the ball in full stride.

Cooley has to fight for every yard he gets.(He fumbled too much this season for my liking)

No one answer will fix the offensive woes by next season.

Get younger and say bye bye to Shawn Springs and Ladell Betts.

Free up money and go after a pass rusher.
