O's

Post by fredp45 »

If the Yankees sign Mark Teixeira on top of pitchers CC and JJ, forget it, I'm done with baseball.

For one team to shell out the money necessary to get all that talent, the system is too screwed up for me to handle!

Maybe the O's will get lucky and sign Mark T. They need a big batter in the middle of their lineup. They haven't had one of those in years and years!

why worry? We have both watched the Yanks dump boatloads of cash on great players for the past 7 years only to fail to win the World Series. These signings will be no different.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

Well they'll just fail again in the post season. They were supposed to win it all when they got A-Rod too but they haven't won it for a while. I'm not an O's fan, I'm a Nats fan, but I do hate the Yankees.

Precisely, keep in mind that for all the Yankees spend (and it is an unbalanced system, no question) they haven't won a title since 2000. Money, as the Redskins current owner can attest, does not buy competence.

For those who don't like baseball, why not just skip these threads? I don't hop into every thread containing a subject I find boring just to say so. That seems almost unique to baseball, you can't even mention it without someone saying "baseball sucks" or it's boring or blah blah blah. OK. Great. You don't like it, fine. Nobody's taking a poll.

Say bye-bye to baseball!

CC, A.J. & Mark T. & we're still $26.5 million less than last year!

Thank you Mike Mussina, Jason Giambi, Carl Pavano, Andy Pettitte & Bobby Abreu for your contracts expiring this year! Not worth the $88.5 million they made last season

I thought this was the WASHINGTON sports teams section.

In DC's eyes, Baltimore might as well be Kickapoo, Wisconsin -- because there ain't no difference between the two.

(And it burns them up in Bawlmer! :P )

DC Sports teams - Georgetown, Capitals, United, Wizards, NATIONALS and Redskins. That's it. Go to the Ravens fan site to talk about that crappy team.
I miss you 21.

God I wish we had a second round pick.
