Bring him back!

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

It won't ever happen. Vinnie Cerrato would be gone again, and The Danny would have to swallow his pride. Nope, never gonna happen.

Makes me happy. Marty is the king of coaching chokers. He is not capable of winning an important game, as he has demonstrated REPEATEDLY. His specialty is bringing fans to the very edge of the promised land, then snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Nobody does that better.

I predicted the result of his last game. That was typical Marty.

Better Marty-maybe-someday than never-will-Spurrier. Again, you can't blame Marty for some of those losses. He'll make it one day.

If you say so... unfortunately, you must first have a team to coach... luckily, that won't be the Redskins.

Marty has repeated years of teams that choked at the most inopportune times. Some were the result of poor execution. Some were clearly stupid coaching decisions. When it happens repeatedly, to the same coach, with different teams... ummm... hello?

No... let's instead dump the rookie coach with a history of making something from nothing as both an assistant and as a player...

No, I'm talking about never having gotten rid of him. I know he can't come back now.

Bring him back?

The guy who was OFFERED the Head Coach position?

To be brought back by the guy who OFFERED the Head Coach position and RENEGED on his promise?

WHY would THEY want to do ANYTHING with one another ever again?

I am confused by posters in THN who should know better than this.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Clearly we don't fire people who fail repeatedly within this organization so why shouldn't Marty get that luxury?

He made something from nothing? His team is in a tailspin and is free-falling to the ground. Let's get out of control here. Let's evaluate what you just said...

"Something from nothing...." Ok, that was BS. Zorn had "something". He had a proven running game that he whored out early in the season. At no point did HIS passing offense do anything spectacular. When the running game was stopped, HIS passing offense continued to do nothing.
 So really, let's correct your statement.

Zorn did something with something (Gibbs running game) and did nothing with nothing (Zorns passing game).

I guess it's better to know you're not going at all.

Sorry, ToJ, last year I reported that Snyder had hired Clark Griffith as General Manager, and that Griffith had hired Bucky Harris as head coach / manager...since neither have disagreed with a living soul in the last twenty years...being dead...they would be perfect for Snyder.

The joke lasted through about three rounds of posts, but I think only CT knew Griff and Harris.

So...you'll have to start a different story.
