While Seahawks Head Coach Mike Holmgren, a Super Bowl winner in Green Bay, has said repeatedly that he plans to spend at least one year with his wife and family in Arizona, sources said that's not entirely written in stone and, that, while Holmgren has said coaching in 2009 would cost him his marriage, there is some wiggle room there. Some people close to Holmgren said it's not like the door on 2009 has been entirely slammed shut. When presented with this idea, of Zorn working under Holmgren, one person close to Holmgren did not blanche or dismiss the possibility.

The only similar instance I can remember with this type of structure happened some years ago in Kansas City.
Gunther Cunningham was fired as HC when Dick Vermiel took charge in 2001. Then Cunningham was hired again by Vermeil as D coordinador after his team struggled in that deparment.
I don't see this happening in DC. First we raided the Jets and now the Seahawks?
And of course if these two guys come here, the obvious question would be when will Matt Hasselback arrive?

I like these kids of statements.
Yeah, I stood next to him once. Does that count as being close to him?

I think we should fire Zorn and rehire Vince Lombardi. I know there are some tricky logistical issues with that, but seriously, could ANYONE win Super Bowl's like dat guy? It's worth consideration...

If anybody has enough money to bring a guy back from the dead, and get him coaching again, it's Snyder!

the talk I've heard regarding Holmgren is that he wouldn't be brought onto coach this team but to run the front office, in the same sense of what Parcells is doing for the Dolphins..
so he wouldnt be coming here and demoting Zorn at all.. if this scenario were to happen it would have to involve stripping Vinny of his newly acquired title which he wont give up without a fight .. lets just hope Danny Boy finally gets smart about the direction this team needs to be heading
after one year of having a draft in which we had 10 picks ( although maybe 7 should of actually made the team) .. we go right back to having 3 picks in this upcoming draft with no 2nd or 4th rounder and with holes in alot of area's
I personally would welcome Holmgren here as a GM with open arms (granted I know he doesn't have a great track record as GM but he was also pulling double duties as coach at the time)
until we get structure in the front office its gonna be offseason after offseason of big name free agents and no young talent pushing the old talent out the door.. now all we need is to start the Albert Haynsworth thread
