I am not addressing this to just El Mexican, but to all those who really think we have a better chance of losing this game than winning - this is just a BS way to look at our chances of winning or losing - OK we lost to the "pathetic Rams" at home - BUT we beat the Cowboys and Eagles on the road - now please explain to me the logic that would imply that we as fans should think that we should lose this game according to you, based on this logic that you have brought to the thread - are we just not as good as the Bengals

Please do not give me the "Schizophrenic would be the best way to describe this team. And it's been like that for most of the Snyder regime" stupid statement - this is only about this game this week, we are not trying to look at our team's problems or issues - we are fans and we are trying to assess our team's chances of winning or not - do you really think we are not as good a team as the Bengals OR do you really think we have a better chance of losing this week than winning?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

If Campbell Plays horribly in this game then I just don't know what to say?

I am one who is not blaming the line for the current lack of offense. How is it that Portis has been able to have a great season? Ill tell you why.

Because Portis has the heart of a champion. He makes no excuses. He does what it takes to suceed. He plays hurt.

I hope Campbell turns this thing around. Really I do. The Receivers have to step up bigtime as well.

My main gripe with Campbell is his lack of leadership. Take the bull by the horns gosh darnit. The negative body language he displays is also a gigantic moral killer. The look on his face just screams he is scared out there. I mean he has alot on his shoulders. Why because he is the QB! The leader of the team. Step it up son!

The Receivers ! My goodness get open and catch the darn ball! Rookies make a darn play. Malcom Kelly especially. At least Thomas has a TD. One that is.

:x

TO SKINSJOCK: I've been a fan of this team for 30 years. My childhood was filled with the "glory years" of the franchise, the Hogs, the Smurfs, Gibbs, no-name D, great adjustments in the second half of games, etc. You could say that set the standard pretty high for my devotion to this team.

Having said that, I think Snyder and his pal Vinny have led this once great franchise to mediocrity. My role as a fan is to support my team, not to be blind about the pathetic situation they have brought here. You know why? Because the Washington Redskins are more important than Snyder's money.

For the last ten years, the ones that reflected Snyder's blueprint (so I'm not counting 1999), there have only been two playoff appearances driven by the monumental effort of the best coach this team has ever had. Something clearly is not right with the structure of this organization. We have seen this time and time again.

This Cincy game seems like a lot of games we have seen in the past. A team we should beat, one that is clearly inferior, manages somehow to win. Sadly, this time there's a very objetive reason to be worried about Cincy: the Skins have only scored more points than Detroit and the Bengals. So yeah, I'm worried.

I would not be surprised if we lose this game. It will be close, like every other game this season. That's what I´m trying to say. Of course I want my team to win, but I'm not wearing burgundy and gold glasses.

The Skins might win because they have 2 things going in their favor, they're not playing at home and it's not going to be a nationally televised game, otherwise they would lose for sure.

A lot of fans tend to think its more important to have an adequate line for the passing game, rather than the running game. Wrong. It's easier to pass block than run block and run blocking requires greater skill, teamwork, and precision. Also, since passing results in fewer downs, it takes less energy for old guys to pass block than run block.

Yeah b/c we started out SMOKIN in the air while the run game faltered... -drinking

I don´t, sadly. In fact, I see this team as about to implode, after what we saw this week with Portis.

Cincy play terrible, we know. Underperforms constantly. Are these Skins any different?

I don't see them winning more then of their last three games.
8-8 at best.

I guess we should not be surprised that some here will find ways to express their lack of any faith in the team and even when, after playing 4 tough teams in the past 5 weeks, we come up against one of the weakest teams in the NFL.

as the stupid Jerry Jones exclaimed WAKE UP PEOPLE

This is your team and we are still involved in a spot for the playoffs, with a rookie coach - against all predictions, we still have a chance to end this season 10-6 and some of you want to find ways to put your team down Shocked

Here's what you're implying:
The Bengals are #29 running the ball - we are #10 stopping the run.
The Bengals are #30 in passing - we are #7 in pass defense.
The Bengals are #32 Laughing in total offense - we are #5 in total defense.
The Bengals are #32 Laughing in scoring and we are #6 in scoring defense.

Now just where do you find the reality in your suppositions that we have a chance of losing this game - are you that down on these guys that you think they can play down to this team's level. These stats are from the past 13 games against some pretty good teams. Confused

I understand that any team can win on any given day but the reality is this is your team - do you have such little faith?

im gonna give you what I got!!!!
I got one sellers fumble
one bad pass to a rookie wide out
No kelly and portis having little to no effect in the forth quarter
and I missed the 1rst quarter being at church
now I say mathamatically or not skins shouldn't make the playoff and that if snyder could cause this last 8 to 9 years then congratulations to snyder.
I would also wish for a stick to see how much the instant replay or the officials could actually help the team.
I also couldn't help but to notice a vanishing defense going into next week against the eagles but opps I just did it again.
I love watching and waiting to see what the hecks going on.

Like some of you, I am ready to turn off the Redskins until next year. What I have learned - there are a bunch of bowl games over the next month that we can watch and this is a lot more enjoyable.

I am as disapointed as many here - I really thought that the team would take advantage of the opportunity to show that they are a better team.

I was wrong but I am still a fan that thinks this is a good team - I guess that was what I was trying to point out in the post - I just cannot say that in looking at the matchups this week, that I thought we would lose that game. When your team plays against a team that has achieved the offensive rankings of #29 in running the ball; #32 in total offense; #32 in scoring offense and #30 in passing and our team is ranked in the top 10, after 13 games, in defense against those categories then, I find it interesting (to say the least) that anyone as a fan can say that while you think your team could win, you can say "I really think they will lose."

That is the point I was trying to make when I saw the negative posts.

I am disapointed in the effort but I know that this Sunday I will really think we are going to beat the Eagles. I don't think that would be as big an upset as what we saw yesterday.

Some fans like to put their team down and then claim that they are just as loyal - I choose to support the team, but that's just me.

I will not abandon the Redskins, after 40+yrs I have learned to move on and wish for a better team next year. In my younger years I would get all worked up and pi--ed but it didn't help. Now, I can watch other games for the enjoyment of the game. :)

For most of you younger fans I know how you feel.
