I may be overly-biased because I've been defending Snyder to non-Redskin fans ever since he signed his first free agent. Yes Snyder has made mistakes. Yes, he is young and rash. Yes, he is more involved than your typical NFL owner.

However! As a business the Redskins are the most successful franchise in the NFL (and 2nd place ain't even close!) We have the largest stadium in the NFL (and 2nd place ain't even close!) which is sold out every game! He is probably one of only a few owners who actually grew up in the same area and rooted for the same team. Most other NFL owners just made a lot of money and bought whatever NFL team they could get at the time. If we're going to have an owner with a problem, I'd like that problem to be that he cares too much and spends too much! He's the only owner in the NFL who actally hired the coach that he rooted for as a kid! Lastly, despite all the mistakes, he has continued to learn. He has swallowed his pride and admitted those mistakes. he has stepped up to the plate and paid (with cold hard cash) for those mistakes and never looked back. In my opinion, he has become a salary cap innovator. Many teams are copying his methods. Now with Joe Gibbs, I think we have a perfect blend of old-school savvy and young gun agressiveness in the front office. Hail to the Redskins!

My 2 cents

Snyders heart is in the right place but his ways of doing things have been the reason why were have been failing. Hopefully with age and experience comes the revelation that we can't keep this turnover ratio.

I believe Gibbs will show Snyder how its supposed to be done. Snyder hasn't had the right people around him that will snatch the remote out his hands, I think he has them now.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

I am inclined to agree that while in the past he has made some less than intelligent decisions, he now realizes that he can't be another Jack Kent Cook (sp?) and just let the man do his work

WHOA!!! Something just dawned on me. Danny IS a great guy, great fan, great buddy to the players, AND the fans. He is the #1 fan. He's not at fault for the Skins' woes.

He DOESN't control the remote. The remote has been controlled by the x-factor in this whole situation, the true culprit in throwing our team down the drain in the past. His name.....

Howard Milstein.

Sike. I was trying to restore Danny to sainthood O:) and sought a scapegoat for all his trangressions. What happened to Milstein? Was he bought out? :hmm:
Back and better than ever!
