Without hearing what was said, I think Portis has good reason to trash Zorn, he has played his heart out for this team and has bled burgundy and gold since he came here. 56 was a lazy undisciplined paper tiger.

What I find really troubling, with things starting to unravel I could see a scenario were Zorn is fired.

I understand why he's frustrated.

- CP put his body on the line and AS USUAL carried the team.

- ZORNS end of the offense hasn't been adequate at best and for the latter half of the season has been atrocious.

Now you have Zorn making comments about the defense collapsing and Portis not being good enough...

Zorn speaks very openly about what the other aspects of the team aren't doing but what about his side of the fence? He's very timid about saying things negative about the passing game.

He should trash Zorn. How could you bench an all-pro in favor of the back-up just because he missed practice due to injury?

I wouldn't be surprised if this blows up the team at season's end. Maybe beginning with Zorn.

I heard the entire thing and CP didn't say not one thing wrong IMO. He didn't trash anyone so ya'll can stop with that nonsense. He simply said he doesn't understand why they'd use the excuse of him not practicing when he's been at all of the practices (listening and observing obviously) and meetings. I agree with him 100% when he said HE has to make sure that whatever is called for him he'll go out and do that exact thing. He also stated that if he did what he was suppose to do and something negative still happens, they (coaches) turn to him like "why didn't you..." He said that confuses the hell outta him- I took that as meaning the coaches dialed up one stupid play and they just use CP as the scapegoat, IMO.

I won't be able to hear Zorn's comments coming up @ 4pm but he better not ever question CP's heart and just raw football talent. CP also stated that he will always have him team-mates back, I hope JZ does the same thing.

I just read Wilbon's column, and I couldn't agree more, and I've been harping on it for five weeks- the offensive line is slipping and there is no help in sight for the next 6-8months or maybe more if we stick to the track record of the last ten years. This is ALL Vinny Cerrato's fault. If Zorn gets fired, it's all Vinny's fault. All the turmoil is because of what Vinny didn't do. We'd be headed for the playoffs if we drafted two second round Olinemen and a second round Dlinemen. But as Wilbon states, that hasn't happened in about ten years

This is what happens when you put a mediocre QB in charge of an entire team. Zorn wasn't even considered the second best coach in Seatle. This is a joke that he is our coach. The offense is worse this year than last year. The special teams is awful and the defense is fine but he doesnt work with them at all so that makes sense.

ZORN is Garbage for a head coach. Yeah he might be a nice guy and decent with working with QB machanics but he clearly doesn't get O-Line blocking.

Can't leave guistinger alone wihtout help against Suggs. Can't do it. I can't respect him after that.

I haven't seen the tape CP says Zorn is lying about but Zorn hasn't said anything outrageous. He said Ladell had practice time and the hot hand. I was watching the game, that was what I saw. Portis handed Ed Reed a TD(granted he never fumbles) but he doesn't seem to want to take any responsibility for the loss, he just wants to pin it on Zorn for holding him out. What were Betts' stats? I thought they were good. Am I losing it or didn't this issue come up between the two earlier this season, about practicing?

I've learnt that when someone reports what has been said by someone it's amazing how often the report is slanted to reflect that person's take on what was said rather than an honest appraisal of what was really meant by the person

This isn't/wasn't a rebuilding year. He basically rode Joe Gibbs offense to a 6-2 start. Not that I dislike Zorn but lets be real about what he's accomplished.

So we officially have a chemistry problem. Clinton Portis unloaded on Jim Zorn during today's John Thompson Show appearance, over and over again. He swore, he suggested maybe he should go on the injured reserve, he offered to become a cheerleader, and he said this, when asked what adjustments should be made.

"We got a genius for a head coach, I don't know, I'm sure he on top of things. He's got everything figured out. Hey, that's up to him. All I can do is when he calls a play is go out and try to execute to the best of my ability."

On being benched: "You know, I think when you come to me man it's just a matter of who wants to see me out. You know, London Fletcher played in the game and didn't practice all week. All of the sudden it gets aggravating to [see me] standing on the sideline and you see me step into something and pick it up and understand what's going on. I haven't missed a meeting, I haven't missed a practice. I'm outside, I hear everything everybody else hears. It kind of shocked me too, but hey that's what the man said. If my injuries weren't legit than the training room wouldn't hold me out, they'd have me on the field. I think people get caught up into the conversation of the media but then tell you not to get caught up into the conversation....

"I go out there and give it everything I've got. If I can run through the week I'd practice, if I can't then I ain't. And I'm not gonna force myself to go onto a field and do something crazy, and then all of the sudden I'm out. What I need to be around for is Sundays and that's what I try to be around for. So I mean, if you've got a problem with me not practicing and can't do it that way, maybe you feel like you need to sever ties, split ties with me? Split ties with me. But don't sit here and throw me out like I don't pay attention, like I don't know what's going on, like I'm making mistakes, I'm the problem. You know, so, it is what it is, bro."

On his blocking assignments: "You know, one day it's chip on your way out, then if you don't chip and you get out and the quarterback gets sacked it's like, 'Oh, you need to help this man out.' So they don't know what they want. They want you to chip, they want you to block, Jason's on his ass all game long, you're trying to stay in and help, and then it's, 'Oh, you should have gone out, they was coming to you.'

"I've been wide open, they don't come to me. But then he over there and came free and he done got the wind knocked out of him from getting sacked and getting hit in the back, then it's, 'Aw man you've got to help out, you've got to chip.' So you know, I don't think they know what they want me to do. You know, when things going good you're getting praised. I don't know if people getting aggravated with me getting attention. On how he'd like to be used: "Hey, bro, it ain't rocket science how to use me. They can figure that out. If they want to put the ball in my hands I can try to help the team win. They don't I'll try to do whatever I can. If I need to cheer Ladell on, I'll cheer Ladell on. I'm not gonna be bitter about the situation. I think Ladell went int and made some big plays. When he came off to the sideline I was the first one sitting there to talk with him about what I seen, which wasn't much, but I think he did a hell of a job."

On his health: "I'm fine. I'm totally healthy after not playing against Baltimore. So the good thing about it is I'll be at practice tomorrow."
