here we go again... FIRE JIM ZORN!!!
i've been a big zorn enthusiast but the decision to punt on that 4th and 2 with a minute left from the RAVENS' 40 was inexcusable to the point of being criminal. find someone with half a brain to coach this pathetic team for once.
also contributing to this is the fact that zorn hadn't had the balls to bench jansen, who is beyond pathetic at this point, and now that heyer finally finally comes back in when jansen gets hurt, SUDDENLY we start moving the ball. ridiculous. any casual fan could have made better decisions on these matters.

The defense has been pretty good all year but at some point they were going to get tired of being on the field and this last drive was it.
Unless this team can hit a quick homerun, game over.
I will take the fact it with a grain of salt that this is Zorn's first year but I'm begining to tire of these players. Yes Zorn is a rookie coach but these players are not. The effort is not there in the execution and looking at them tonight, it's begining to look like a discipline problem now with the penalties.
Even if this is a new system, there is enough talent on this team to make a big play somewhere. Other teams without our talent hit big plays and we can't...

the offense gets worse each and every game. That is Jim Zorn's job. Danny Smith also needs to go because the kicking/punting game is the worst in the league and he will be gone next year. Zorn will stay and we will probally get a new offensive coordinator and campell will continue to struggle because he isnt that good

He's a freaking idiot for that. That is inexcusable.
EVERYONE had to be asking that. Certainly Madden did. Where's the help on Suggs on the FIRST play!?!? But it's a lot easier to think of everything on the sofa in the living room then being a first year coach losing both your tackles in the same game. Zorn will improve.

Excuses... I don't want to hear that crap. Jason should have changed it at the LOS if Zorn is too overwhelmed to think about it.

He's not the play caller. Zorn calls the plays. If I was Jason, I would have flipped Zorn the bird and changed the pass protection scheme. It's inexcusable to put that man in that position. I don't care who's fault it is. I don't hate any of them, it's just piss poor and sloppy.

Ummm... as just discussed this past week, the pass protection adjustments are made by... Jason Campbell, at the line.

I made no excuse. I said he made a mistake "where's the help" and he will improve. And it's not just being "overwhelmed" but learning to deal with all the various factors and dealing with unexpected or extreme situations takes time and experience. In consulting I have experienced a lot of situations and I've developed a repertoire of how to handle a lot of situations. Still, given the nature of the work I do I still hit new situations with little time to react. Sometimes I handle it better then others, but I always review what happened in my mind and determine the best response and put that away in my brain for the future. Zorn's an NFL head coach and no matter how long he was a player and position coach he has a whole new set of experiences he never dealt with before.

With Gibbs we don't have an offense, with Saunders we don't have an offense, now with Zorn we don't. Coaching is not the problem, we need new players. We don't have the personnel to be a good offense. We need another Rb, Betts isn't that good and Portis does not have the build to carry the ball 20-25 times a game throughout the season. We also have other needs on offense, the rookies need to step it up, I think Thomas is improving. The other needs I am not getting into.

Read up a bit. It wasn't Zorns fault. It was Jason's fault. Regardless, I don't know how hard it'd be to recognize your backup center is blocking Suggs...
So if Swishy had to come in and block at LT, would it still be excusable? You gotta know your personnel.

If I remember right though there was no one in the backfield available to help him out in the formation they were in. JC may have had a choice of going ahead or calling a time out and felt he could get the play off fast enough. Anyway, it would be interesting to hear him address it. There's no doubt he should have had help with Suggs.

Read up a bit, I said it was a mistake. Three times now. This is four.

I want to be on record as OPPOSING any attempt to take the job away from Jim Zorn. I understand anger and frustration but Zorn has been one of the few bright lights this season. What is the guy guilty of???
Winning a few games and raising the expectations of a few to win a Super Bowl?
Come on guys, do not give any ideas to Danny. He might actually follow your advice!

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Betts was there, he had a swing route to the opposite side.

No offense, but you're Canadian. You'd keep sending 12 guys on the field and punting on third down. I'm just saying....

Well, then agreed on the solution, he should have been diverted to help out with Suggs. It is hard to understand even if they were thinking about the play sending the kid into play LT they shouldn't give him some help.
