All you military men out there: what's the focus on the Front Lines?

First Line of Defense
First Line of Offense

Pure and simple, we lack in these two areas.

QB is NOT the problem; He's not helping, but he is not the problem.
We've got more holes than a pack of swiss cheese and it all starts w/our aging oline.

I'm one of the biggest D-Hall fans you'll ever come across, and I am very glad to see him fit in with the Redskins. I really like that secondary of Horton, Landry, Rogers, Smoot, and Hall, the only thing lacking is a consistent pass rush

I honestly think once the Redskins are officially out of the playoffs (if they lose the next game), they should put Brennan in and see what he can do. I honestly think he can actually spread the defense out more with him strong arm

Instead of playing our QB and continuing his work with Zorn we put in the undersized not ready for prime time late round rookie project? What a waste of 3 games that would be.

Colt's listed at 6'3"...how big you want 'em?

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

I agree. He's not the issue but he's not helping.

If we're losing any of our games by a large margin in the 4th, we need to put Colt in for a minute. What's it going to hurt?

I think the biggest problem on offense, is that offensive line.

How is finding out how good of a player you drafted is a waste of games when you're not going to the playoffs anyway? Get a grip. I'm a Campbell fan, but do NOT like how he has played as of late and would be willing for a change, just to see what we have.

After the 6-2 start, this is hard to take.

I don't think the Redskins are a bad team. Look at the quality of our opponents and it's clear we have been losing to good teams, not the dregs of the league.

We are not a bad team, but we are not a good team either. I guess 7-6 so far with a first year head coach and an injured start running back is acceptable, though it is already time to start looking ahead to next year.

I have my doubts about Campbell as the franchise quarterback. He needs to be the guy who provides the spark, and that is not happening.

I also have doubts about Randel El as a punt returner. No spark there either.

Our secondary is great, but it sure would be nice if our front four could get some pressure on the quarterback.

Our offensive line is not what it used to be. We have so many needs going into next season . . . .

Two very good defenses showed up to play. Only one offense showed up. Unfortunately, it was not ours.

I had TWO WORDS coming into this game as you might remember:

Ed Reed.

http://www.the-hogs.net/forum/viewtopic. ... ht=#427079

It was not rocket science. Their strong DL against our weak OL plus our QB that takes a year to release the ball.

Hey guys, we had no expectations for the season and the boys delivered. Everybody expected the Skins to end up at the bottom of the NFC East standings and the Skins obliged. What else can we ask of them? SMILE people, it is only a game. The sun will rise tomorrow and there will be another season after this one.

Ah! And remember how much we emphasised the need to draft DL and OL players in the Draft? Read my signature. Read my signature a THOUSAND times.

You're either part of the solution, or part of the problem. I think the QB should help the offense.....but that's just me.

He should help WR's make catches? Help linemen block?

I like what Sellers just said on the post-game. "We gotta score points and we're not doing that." It's that simple.

Zorn is staying so that's a moot point.

Our needs must be addressed and it will be tough (thanks #55)

#1. Solidify the OL
#2. Let a real QB please stand up
#3. Pass Rusher
#4. With our WR's we are officially the Lions, waiting on potential
#5. DL
#6. A FS who allows LaRon to blitz

I think Riggo has made sense.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

  Greg is mad because they're asking him about the pass rush. He said that they can't rush the passer and he had no reason for it. He said it is what it is.

The D shut them down anyway. This loss was totally on the O. W/O the turnovers we gave up 3 points. Even if you give them the INT they turned into a touchdown we should have been able to beat them scoring 10 points.

Is it possible for Vinny C & The Danny to devise a way where we can trade up to get 4 or 5 first round drafts choices to be able to draft a whole new O-Line next year? I'd take OK's line and just go with them. :-)

You're kidding right? I saw a couple of pretty nice catches like the TD to ARE. He went up high and caught a bullet with two guys hanging on him. And I saw a lot more poorly thrown balls than I saw drops. I suppose Sellers should have caught that dirt ball that was thrown 2 yards behind him on a screen (pretty bad accuracy for a three yard throw)? And yes, this week in practice, Clinton Portis should be made to stand 4 yards away, and Jason should rear back and throw freaking bullets at him as hard as he can until he catches every one or breaks his hands. And the receivers need to start anticipating where the deflected passes are going to wind up and run their routs to that spot.

But seriously, the o-line problems are only going to continue or get worse because like tonight, all you have to do is overload one side and go after Campbell. Everyone has figured it out now, except the Redskins and Campbell. The edge rushers are getting a lot of pressure partly because Campbell immediately bails out away from the rush instead of stepping up into the pocket. When he bails out like that, he's actually making it easier for that outside guy to sack him, and the other thing he's doing is not looking for an open target.

The Ravens brought more rushers than we had blockers, and that isn't the o-line's fault. That's either the coaching (play calls that don't have hot reads) receivers (that aren't seeing the blitz) or the QB that is not seeing the blitz and making the hot read plays.

Tonight I saw Campbell step up and stand tall in the pocket and make a couple of good plays. But I also saw him bail out way too early on at least three or four other plays instead of standing in there and delivering the ball.

Guess what.....2 sacks tonight....26 yards lost. You don't lose 26 yards on 2 sacks unless your QB is bailing out deep. No offensive line can protect the QB who bails out deep.

You have on average 3 - 3 1/2 seconds after the snap in the NFL to release the ball or scramble and buy time. And during those 3 1/2 seconds, you have to keep focused on finding your target. Campbell gets happy feet

I was shocked to see the other day that ARE is not statistically the worse punt returner in the league. What a shock! I'm still of the opinion I'm a less irritating punt returned than he is, if not a better one. I'm sixty five.
I think I could consistently pick up a few yards by falling forward.

Oh, yeah. We have to really pick up play to win another game this season. If I were Zorn, I would start the rookies whom we'll need next year.
