Ryan Clark's hit last nite on Wes Welker

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

At least someone represented Sean this weekend.

That was a great hit, I tend to agree with throwing the flag on that one though, Welker had given up on the ball and began to slow down when he was hit.

Welker would agree. I don't think he came back in the game that nite.

Good, that was the purpose of that hit. It was the exact hit Sean would have delivered. He was a personal foul magnet but you began to see the science behind it after a while. Sure, you have to pick and choose when do it but having WR's scared adds a lot to a defense. Landry doesn't have that effect because he is too small.

Landry got some good hits in vs the Giants. Not to this degree, but it was hard hitting like we expect from him. I still dig me some dirty 30...

That's a load. It was bang-bang. The flag is nothing but more evidence of the feminization of the game.

Next year, they should change the ref's flags to pink in color.

Did you see that as soon as Welker hit the ground, Palomalu had the little flag animation b/c he knew it was coming...

I'm sure there's a point somewhere in there... I've looked 4 times and haven't seen any such gesture from Troy. Who here that remembers football as played by Pat Fischer, Ritchie Pettibon, Ken Houston, Brig Owens, and the Hangman (the REAL 55) doesn't believe that the NFL is being groomed to become a girls league?

Ryan Clark played that the way it should be played.

I was just glad to see the Steelers crush the girls with the silver helmets... which will look good when contrasted with the ref's new pink flags.

I watched the game, so I might be remembering it from that. My point was that Troy KNEW it was going to be a penalty before the ref threw the flag.

He did make a gesture. It was either a flag motion or a cross.
