New faces...same ole skins
I am not trying to talk crap just want to know what you think.
Just like the last 5 years you guys have spent rediculous amounts of money...Is it worth it? This means in the future you guys will have no money! Do you really think you guys can win the super bowl in the next 2 years, before you guys go to salery cap hell?
oh yeah...Roy over sean!

Two words for you JOE GIBBS. You can pay all the money in the word for talent but if you don’t have a conductor to tell them when to do their thing it ain’t gonna happen. If you saw him the first time around you will know why he will make it happen this time around. Also, you should search through this board to see why we will not have salary cap issues. It is too long to rehash. Welcome aboard! BTW – What team do you favor?

Naaaah. We got gambit187 who is a cowboys fan and he is a great addition to the board. Royoversean I would love to answer the cap question in full but it really is not a short answer. It is a combo of people restructuring/being let go/ and a probable increase in the cap. If you recall several years back they said the same thing. We didn’t end up winning but we didn’y lose an excess amount of player to cap reasons (at least anymore then any other team). Maybe someone can post a link to one of the lengthy full explanations. As long as you are not hostile welcome aboard!

Calm down! Lay off the hormone pills. I am not trying to start one off these war treds ive been in enogh of them to know they solve nothing.
You did however make a good point about parcells. But I never said Joe could't bring you guys back! I only asked an honest question about the cap!

For 5 years you fans of that team in Texas have been saying in 2 years you'll be in SC trouble (every team says they have cap issuses... how often do you here The Danny Crying about the money he is spending
It's trial and error with the Danny
1. Over pay for Older Vets .... that did not work
2. Pick up seasoned Vets regardless of Vets.... that didn"t work either
He tried ..it didn't work... But he did say OH Now we're screwed I've blown up the cap!!
He came up with Plan B
3.Create a farm system (N.Y.Jets)to draw players from once they have proven themselfs....Work in progress
4. The BEST move of all..spend the money on COACHES to continue to develope the players that are here
oh yeah...Roy over sean!
I agree ..Id take Roy over Sean too!
Roy Williams
over
Sean (Puffy- P-Diddy or what ever it is now) Combs

Why do all these Cowboys fans come to this website? Don't they have anything better to do than go on a Redskins website? No we will not be in salary cap hell. Another thing is that a lot of the contracts are back loaded they will use them for two years that they need them, that is the part of the contract that is cheap and than when they get exspensive they cut them. Doesn't hurt the cap at all.

Weclome aboard Royoversean, you'll take a lot of crap being in this territory but I kind of enjoy the (usually) friendly banter between fans on the site.
Like others, I'd have to go ahead and point to history when we talk about supposed "salary cap troubles." One of the few teams that actually ran into this monster was the Ravens the year after their Superbowl. As far as I can tell, the Redskins have kept 95% of the players that they wanted to keep (or traded them for the likes of Clinton Portis[!]). D. Gardner, James Thrash (who we've gotten back, of course), Steven Alexander, and Stephen Davis were the only players that I can recall being heartbroken that they had to leave (I guess Brad Johnson too).
Of those guys, only Davis has really produced *since* leaving (despite getting paid more); and 99% of Redskins fans know that it wasn't really salary cap that drove him out of town but S.S.
Brad Johnson has been good, but I'll take Ramsey any day of the week over him.
I don't know, my argument isn't as strong as when I started, but I think that with all the doomsday talk surrounding Skins' salary cap numbers, you'd see a bigger loss of key players than that list.
