Here's a little thing I do for my blogs on the upcoming game. Hope you Redskin fans enjoy!
Washington Redskins (6-4, T-Second Place) at Seattle Seahawks (2-8, T-Third Place)
4PM
Matt Vasgersian, JC Pearson and Nischelle Turner (Sideline)
Qwest Stadium
Last Meeting: Seahawks 20-10 2005 NFC Divisional Playoffs at Qwest.
Matt Hasselbeck appeared to have gotten the cow-webs out after missing some time due to his bulging disc in the back. If the Seahawks can get big plays from the offense and give Hasselbeck time they will walk out with a win. Seahawks have to mix things up and get Julius Jones as involved as they can. Jones should be used to get the yards and Duckett should be used to slow the tempo up and pound the ball either in short third down situations or in the goal-line area. John Carslon could get involved in the action and expect a big game from him. He still makes minor rookie mistakes, but has the potential to be something. If the Seahawks receivers can make catches and plays on third down the Seahawks can get things done.
Defensively they can’t give up the big plays. Zorn knows what has to be done to defeat the Seahawks defense and look for a lot of coaching moves by him and Sherman Smith. Just like the Sooners Stoops knew the plays Mike Leach runs expect John Marshall and crew to know that about Zorn. The defense could put a lot of pressure on Jason Campbell and try to rattle him. The line will have to be ready and stacked as one of the top running backs Clinton Portis comes into town, but look for him not to get too far past one of the best linebacker crews in the NFL. Josh Wilson is starting to break out and will have his hands full with Antwan Randle El, but Trufant will also be busy with Santana Moss. In the long run they keep them under control and the crowd keeps Campbell and line rattled.
Prediction: Seahawks start their new role as a spoiler with the win,. 17-10 Seahawks.
On the Year: 3-1
Connections:
-Seahawks Quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor left the Redskins to fill Jim Zorn’s position with the Seahawks. He started coaching the Redskins in 2004 and stayed there until 2007.
-Seahawks Running Back TJ Duckett played with the Redskins in 2006. While with the Redskins he scored two touchdowns and rushed for 132 yards. He has tripled his touchdown total in Seattle already and has 113 yards on the year.
-Washington Redskins Head Coach Jim Zorn was the Seahawks Quarterback from 1976-84. He is in the Seahawks Ring of Honor and won the Rookie of the Year award in 1976. He ranks second in yards (20.122) completions (1,593), attempts (2,992) and touchdowns (107) all behind Dave Krieg. He also coached the Seahawks Quarterbacks from 2001-07. In 1997 he was the Seahawks offensive assistant. He has helped mentor Matt Hasselbeck into a Pro Bowl Quarterback.
-Assistant Head Coach and Running Backs coach for the Redskins Stump Mitchell coached the Seahawks from 1999-2007. He coached Ricky Watters and Shaun Alexander to 1,000 yard seasons.

He gained 9,429 rushing yards as a Seahawks and 100 touchdowns. Only him and Largent scored 100 or more as a Seahawk. His best year came in 2005 where he won a Rushing Title with 1,880 yards. He was named MVP for his 28 total touchdowns breaking Priest Holmes record of 27 and leading the Seahawks to their first ever Super Bowl.
-Redskins Defensive End Phillip Daniels played with the Seahawks from 1996-99. He is currently on the IR.
-Redskins Cornerback Mike Green was traded to the Seahawks in 2006 and let go after the 2007 season. He played in 15 games as a Seahawks and had 17 tackles.

Seahawk News for the Week:
-Defensive End Patrick Kerney was placed on the IR to end his season. To fill his spot the Seahawks signed Brandon Miller. Kerney led the NFC in sacks last year and had five on the year along with 21 tackles and two forced fumbles.

As much as it pains me to say I have a bad feeling about this game. That goofy stadium has been a house of horrors. The rest of the league has caught up to Zorn's offense - surely the Seahawks will know the plan of attack. I hope I am wrong but the last time the Skins actually played well was versus the Eagles - squeekers verse the Browns and Lions don't count for much.
Drinking the Kool-Aid again...
I expect a good game and while it could end up being an easy win for the Redskins if both teams play well (or to their rankings over the past 10 games) a part of me would love to see a close win for the Redskins in a low scoring game
just to make all the Redskins fans who are so down on their team have moments of anguish because they have no faith
I would love a win and as long as we play well in all facets of the game - I do not care if the final score is low at all.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I wish Jack Kent Cooke had the foresight to build a stadium like the one in Seattle. While the Seahawks have slowly become one of my least favorite teams, I am very envious of the atmosphere their fans create on Sundays. If Snyder does decide to move back to the district, I would hope he uses Qwest as an example for the stadium he builds.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

We used to have that at RFK. It was one of the loudest stadiums ever, and one of the least favorite stadiums for opponents to visit.
That place was so loud that you had to scream at the person next to you just for them to hear what you might be saying.
