Mike Sellers is an outstanding athlete. Hold on a minute.......wait......Yep, I have an idea.
Mike Sellars reminds me a little bit of "Riggo."
He's huge, mean and can flatten people without trying.
Now I know he's primarily used as a blocker for Portis, but what I don't understand is why we don't utilize him more as a running back.
Let's put Alexander or Cartwright in as blockers and let Sellers have 10-15 carries this weekend? Riggo didn't have someone BIGGER then him making lanes, he just smashed thru the line and racked up the yards.
I think Sellers is capable of doing the same thing and could give Portis some rest so he's fresh for all four quarters. Between all four of them, how could we lose?

I haven't seen enough to believe he could be a productive RB and there is probably a reason he doesn't get more carries. IMO Riggins had better feet, vision and burst to/in the hole. Sellers is very good at the position he plays, but probably lacks the skills mentioned above to be a starting RB and therefore only get the occasional carry.

I know it's the CFL, but watch this vid. You might change your mind. I think Sellers could be a better back than people give him credit for, but if Portis can go, Sellers should NEVER take substantial carries from Portis or Betts for that matter.
It would be fun to watch him bowl people over thought.

In that video, they list him at 6-3 260.
Now we list him at 6-3 245.
I bet he's in better shape now, maybe even faster and more agile.
I firmly believe the Patriots are the antichrist.

Unfortunately, in the NFL, he won't be running against people who are all smaller than him.

I'd like to see Sellars get the ball more often too, he's kind of a fumbler though (41 career carriers, 3 fumbles.) I'd rather see him get more screens and be a better short pass option out of the backfield, mostly near the goal line like Sunday v. the Cowgirls.
