i wonder who wins the battles in practice, o-line or d-line??

We are playing in Seattle. Weather will be an issue. Zorn will be coaching with emotion. I think if we played like we did tonight, we will loose. If we make improvements, then we are ok. Need to get 1 healthy RB in the game and stop rotating guys in and out.

If something doesn't change up front, and we can't generate pressure on opposing QBs, we might not win another game this season.

tht sounds familar, was that what happened two weeks ago??? i think it was, but tried to erase that game from my memory...

It is becoming a recurring theme. I think I've seen this movie before. I think I need some Captain Morgan right now.

sounds good, shots all around

At least we have Vinny in charge. He'll surely get the ship righted with another draft class or maybe another trade for an over-the-hill veteran.

I also expect him to draft a D-lineman in the 1st round and get younger on the O-line.

Its probably a domino effect where everyone just falls down.

The first thing that needs to happen is the Skins need to stop playing on national TV. They have to be the worst team ever during these night games.

The next thing that needs to happen is no more home games. They apparently don't like playing in front of their fans. They play better on the road.

Bottom line is this team is going nowhere but down with this offense. If it improves by about 50% it'll be pathetic.

Multiple Problems today

#1 Offensive Line is not consistant of pass protection.
#2 Campell keeps getting sacked out of field goal range.
#3 Devin Thomas seems to be playing for the other team every week.
#4 No pass rush what so ever from the D-line.
Jason Taylor is the prime example of the redskins signing old guys who are on the downturn of their career. He is making 7 million and we gave up a second round draft pick for a guy who has about 1/2 sack so far this season. I know he has been injured but that is what happens to old players. They wear down.

Things I liked
#1 Hustle overall on the Defense.
#2 Clinton Portis plays harder than anyone on the team.
#3 Running game is solid all around.
#4 Cooley fights for extra yards.
#5 Defensive Backs were amazing.

We need to get some offense going and we can still get into the playoffs.

Honestly, I don't think it really matters who we stick there at end, both of our ends are undersized.

I think not having Montgomery hurt us a lot.

also, it is pathetic when it appears that the senile madden knows how to call plays better for the O than JZ does... early on, they kept running screens, but as madden pointed out, the redskins had yet to throw the ball deep, to spread the D out... yet, JZ kept going to this play...

Not worried about the ref's. Sure they missed a lot of calls but we missed a hell of a lot more plays that we shoulda/coulda made tonight.

"We need to get some offense going and we can still get into the playoffs."

From what I've seen there's no hope of that happening this year as our O seems to be getting worse.

Well, Madden might have been tipped off to that by the fact that everyone knows that we haven't had a vertical offensive passing game the past 3 or 4 weeks...and by weeks I mean SEASONS.

Why is it when we blitz we can't get to the quarterback? Yet when other teams blitz us, they have no problem getting to our quarterback? And don't say the obvious, our offense line sucks, because we have had alot of success running earlier this year.

We did what we did with a less than healed Portis, a limping Betts and an ineffective Alexander.
TTiT had no reason to fear our passing game, so they stack the line.
Surprised? You shouldn't be. This was team we were playing that was desperate for a win.
They won.
We move on to Seattle. Taylor has some time on the field, and maybe he's ready to impact the game.
relax. We're still in 2nd place. I hate losing to TTiT as much as anyone, but we didn't bring it today. Now, maybe we have the same sense of "must win" that Dallas (or at least, Barber) did today.

Maybe he could also go ut and find an entire new O-Line that won't get run over by teams like the G-Men, the Steeelrs, and even the Pukes.

Or better yet, maybe TTTB will have a monstrous game against his former team next Sunday.

It seems like the only time we score is on trick plays like the PA pass.

I'll say it again; this team does not deserve to watch the playoffs, much less participate.

Why?

1. Complete castration at home by two consecutive teams on national television. Any team with sufficient bag to warrant a playoff spot would have come out and throttled Dallas tonight after what happened against Pittsburgh. We didn't.
2. Close games against the lower tier of teams (St. Louis, Detroit, etc.) show this team plays down to their competition. Winners don't play down to their competition.

The only reason I watch these clowns is the off chance I'll get to hear someone talk about how great Joe Gibbs is.

true... but in weeks past, we have at least completed a pass 15-20 yards before we tried that play... tonight, nothing... it is pathetic... not sure what to address in the offseason, O-line, d-line, one of those... hopefully colt brennan will be able to show something in the offseason, because JC is NOT the answer...

I watched the Seattle/Arizona game today, and Seattle's D-Line pressured Warner big time. I think that unless some changes are made we are going to have some issues there.
