I think it's retarded to think that a color magically makes a team better. I'm fully aware that white reflects heat, etc, etc and thats a valuable tactic. What I'm referring to is the belief that a certain uniform is bad luck. That is crazy talk.
I was not referring to the fact that the UNIFORM chosen has any impact on the outcome of the game.
I am speaking about the basic tenent of tradition. Since 1980, the Redskins have overwhelmingly worn white shirts and burgundy pants at HOME. This is the combination that was worn during the glory days in the 80's and also the combination worn in all of the Redskins' Super Bowl wins.
I don't know about you guys, but I like tradition, especially when it looks so freakin' good. I'm all about change for the better and evolving, etc...but if it ain't broke don't fix it.
Think of it this way: Could you ever envision seeing the Packers wearing green shirts AND green pants at Lambeau? Hell no.
Don't F--- with tradition.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS. The finest team in the NFL because the FANS make it so.
You obviously didn't comprehend the tone of my statement.
I like tradition, ESPECAILLY WHEN IT LOOKS GREAT.
I'm also not one of those blowhard old-school guys that will say NEVER change something. I get the fact that things evolve...but in my opinion, there's no need to change the Redskins uniforms.
Bottom line: I LOVE the white jersey/burgundy pants look. Period.
Just my opinion.

I always wondered what the burgundy on burgundy would look like. Now Iknow, it is simply God awlful!
I don't like the white on white but man that made the Skins' "Penn State" look, look great.
Hopefully, that combo went they way of the dodo bird.
I do like the old gold pants with the burgandy top and would even be in favor of a mild uniform tweek, but pleaselets give up on this stupid monochromatic look.
White shirts/burgundy pants = home.
Burgundy shirts/white pants = away.

I thought the burg/burg looked pretty good and I actually like all of them that our guys wear. How about we get black in the mix? Maybe black pants with the regular tops?

Honestly I do... I think the brighter the jerseys of your recievers the faster it is that you recognize them as your target.
I think I said the same thing earlier in this thread. I was afraid that if they wore the dark jersey they would be harder to see against the burgendy wall that lines the field and with it being a night game would make it even more difficult. If I were Zorn I would stick with the white at home to contrast the jersey with the wall and wear the all burgendy away cause it would probably contrast with what ever color the other team has as a wall color around their field.
I'm not so sure I liked the black shoes though. Maybe everone wears gold shoes or white to match the stripe down the side of the uniform.
Speaking of their shoes, when did the NFL abandon the uniform rule that required the entire team to wear identical shoes?
Also, uniforms can have a big effect on the team's mentality. Call it the placebo effect. If the players are superstitious, it might make a difference on how well they play.

Speculation at best. Anything that a group 'believes in' can have a big effect on the team's mentality. If they're all cultists, then a sacrificial chicken could help, too. If they're religious, then a sermon could help. A good team doesn't need the 'placebo effect,' they just get the job done.
