Any gamers on here play fallout 3 yet?

Post by Cappster »

I purchased it for the PC yesterday and so far I am pretty impressed. The graphics are top notch! It is not like the usually FPS games I play, but change is refreshing. It takes a long while to explore everything and you have to be on your toes, because an attack or a boobie trap is lurking around every corner. If you have played the game, what is your take on it?

That's because it's not a FPS... It's an RPG with from a FPPOV (first person point of view) which can be toggled to third person.

I may get it for 360.

I tried the 3rd person view but it doesn't quite work for me. The game, IMHO, is much better while played in the 1st person POV. I agree that it is a RPG, but it has FPS elements tied into the game. I like the targeting system that they have too. You can lock onto different parts of the body to target and watch a little cinematic scene unfold.

I haven't gotten it yet, probably in a week or two for my PS3. Can't wait, i've been waiting for a while for it to come out.

I -love- their ad campaign running in Metro Center. I work right above Metro Center, and I see all the lawyers/lobbyists who work down there walking by all these pictures of a blown up DC, giving wierd looks at the posters.

Great game, btw. Have it for the 360...

I probably will never play Fallout 3 but I loved Fallout and did play around with Fallout 2 for a bit. Does that count? :)

Just picked up the game Friday, and it is worth the hype.

Just like in Oblivion, I keep finding myself carrying far more stuff than I'll ever need. It's just hard to put down the missle launcher and minigun just because you can't afford to buy more ammo and they weigh a ton!

Not a good game for a pack-rat!
