This is Gibbs ground system that's implemented this year, not something brought from Seattle.

im sure there are some things that they brought with them to washingotn from the NW....

Shaun is a selfish and lazy player in my opinion. He didn't put out any effort at all once he had the big contract locked up.

Here's when he first really showed his true colors. I believe it was the year before the ChickenHawks went to the SB. Holmgren called a QB sneak and the Hawks scored and clinched the game and the division. While the team and the fans were going crazy celebrating Shaun sat on the bench pouting like a little kid who had just had his candy bar stolen, all because he didn't get to break some meaningless personal record.

What does he have to do with ANYthing? We are not TRADING for Shawn Alexander, we would be picking him up for the Vet. Minimum I would think. .

Its a knee jerk reaction to a minor injury. Remember, we had to have Duckett because CP went down and we ended up with a player sitting on the bench providing depth at a position we didn't need the depth at. And as someone else pointed out, the running game here isn't the one used in Seattle, so there really isn't an added bonus of adding someone with a short learning curve.

I think there are a couple of draws that Zorn brought over.

Now if Zorn and Mitchell saw some stuff about this underachiever that we are not aware of I will be happy to be proven wrong but this just does not seem to be a good decision for just a few weeks

I understand that Alexander worked out and that the staff were quite high on how he appeared and just want to wait for verification from a physical - sounds like he may be here

I have no link - it was just on the CBSportsline site :?

I will be happy to be proven very wrong - yet again
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I'm really not digging Alexander coming here, but I trust Zorn. If Zorn thinks it's a good idea, then I will be objective.

Keep in mind, Mason would have to know who to pick up on blitzes, which can KILL you if not executed properly.

I think that's Betts defining weakness vs CP's strength.

I think so too VSF

I see what people are saying about Rock being the 3rd back. I think that if Shaun had ANYTHING left in the tank, someone who desperately needed a running back would have already taken a chance on him. Detroit opted for Rudi right???

Except you can cut the guy without any losses, whereas TJ Duckett came with a hefty draft pick cost.

I think it was the league rushing title which he missed by a yard or two - but I agree with your sentiments.

Remember that Stump Mitchell was the guy that coached Alexander into several MVP titles. Not saying I endorse the move, but I gotta think Stump and Zorn will be able to easily recognize if Shaun has any legs left during his workouts. Also, Shaun won't need to know 100% of the offense to be able to contribute. He'll be used sparingly, as Betts has been. A RB could easily learn a dozen running plays in a few days. There's only so many holes to run in. They could easily put together a small package of running plays just for Shaun in a short period of time.

It will be interesting to see how he is used - I will give Zorn and Mitch the benefit of the doubt here as they are much more familiar with his abilities - he just did not look the same or seem to play with any intensity after that season - personally I thought he was doggin' it.

Maybe he just needed a change of scenery 8)

Hey, he's our guy now - go Shaun

Seems like a pretty good position to be in if we're this concerned with a BACKUP RB. There are plenty of teams out there that are searching for a feature back. This move just seems like a test run to me with nothing really lost if it doesn't pan out. Hope it works!
