BYE BYE TO PACMAN!!!
REPORT: PACMAN GETS IN A FIGHT
Posted by Mike Florio on October 8, 2008, 7:36 p.m.
For those of you who had October 7 as the date on which cornerback Pacman Jones gets into trouble, it’s time to collect your prize.
According to CBS 11 in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Jones got into a fight with a bodyguard on Tuesday night at an upscale Dallas hotel.
The team isn’t commenting on the situation.
Per the report, it was a “violent confrontation” in a bathroom. Patrons could clearly hear that a fight was occurring, and at least one mirror in the bathroom was broken. Jones reportedly left the hotel without paying his bar tab.
Ironically, Commissioner Roger Goodell met with the Cowboys on Wednesday. Goodell had this to say regarding Pacman:
“Adam knows how much emphasis I put on making sure that he makes good choices going forward, that he avoids situations where he can reflect poorly on himself, the Cowboys or the NFL. So far he seems to have been able to do that very effectively. I am supportive of him and am hopeful that he will be able to do that for the rest of his life. I am hoping he will not only be a great NFL player but he will continue to do the right things so he can lead a productive life off the field as well.”

Perhaps the worm turns... perhaps not.
If the bodyguard ain't talkin'
If no actual witnesses to assault show up.
If no charges are pressed...
Who's to say Adam did anything? What if the Bodyguard says "Mr Jones tripped over a kitten in the Men's room, and broke a mirror. He was pretty angry that anyone would leave a helpless little kitten unprotected in a Men's room, so he started yelling. The kitten was crying, so he left to rush it to an Emergency Veterinarian. He kept saying "Poor kitty... don't cry kitty... old Pac Man gonna take good care of you". Mr Jones is such a wonderful humanitarian."
Don't get me wrong... I think the guy is scum, and can't resist getting stupid... but Goodell ain't pulling the plug unless he has something substantial. I mean... he is a humanitarian, and all...

This kid needs to stay the hell away from any kind of club scene. He already has a negative-image problem so people are going to watch every little thing he does with the utmost scrutiny and whether he is in the wrong or not the "court of public opinion" will determine him as being wrong due to his past.

Are you kidding? Adam is both stupid, and of the erroneous opinion that he is still invulnerable, despite the last year out of football. He doesn't get it, and he never will. He appears to have dodged a bullet, but he won't be able to duck them all. Something will eventually bite him in the butt once again.
I just wonder how that poor kitten is doing.

Next time they may be REAL BULLETS and not proverbial ones.
Apparently Jerry Jones has not studied his history, which means he's doomed to repeat it. The U (Miami) didn't really care about the character of it's players in the mid to late 80's and most recently the fight with Florida International and the comments of former Hurricane Lamar Thomas in the broadcast booth shows the kind of mentality they were looking for to represent the University. All that mattered was winning.
Well, Jerry, I guess signing guys with shady pasts has really helped you get some post season wins... oh, wait a minute, that's right, you've only gotten 1 post season victory in the last 12 going on 13 years, '96 right???
It seems that the Cowpunk organization sees no reason to penalize Adam Jones http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archi ... round.html What kind of fancy lad bathroom has a glass umberella???
Whether it was Pacman's fault or the bodyguard's fault for starting the "fight" it's pretty clear that Jerry was wrong in hiring one of them...maybe even both.
If you're mad at your kid, you can either raise him to be a nose tackle or send him out to play on the freeway. It's about the same. ~Bob Golic

Now this just in - ESPN's Mortenson just reported that part of the reinstatement deal for Jones included a clause that Jones would not be involved in any "incident" that involved alchohol - now this latest issue does involve Jones in a bar - and that is technically in violation of the NFL's agreement with P. Jones and the pukes.
Will any of us be at all surprised that Jerrah, who is involved with an NFL owner's meeting for the next 2 days, finds a way to make it seem like Pacman was just having a glass of lemonade at that bar?
This guy just continues to think that he is "special" - he is a puke! aren't they all??

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

He has a very good chance of being kicked out of the NFL. THUG LIFE BABY (Throwing up gang signs)
Pacman suspended at least 4 games for violating conduct policy
ESPN.com news services
Updated: October 14, 2008, 2:53 PM ET
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been suspended for at least four games for his most recent violation of the league's personal conduct policy, the NFL announced Tuesday.
In announcing his decision, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Jones' "disturbing pattern of behavior was clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL."
Goodell will determine the final length of Jones' suspension following the Cowboys' Week 11 game against Washington on Nov. 16, the league said.
In his latest transgression, Jones was involved in an alcohol-related physical altercation at a Dallas hotel on Oct. 8 that resulted in hotel employees calling the police.
Jones was suspended for the entire 2007 season for multiple violations of the league's personal conduct policy. In reinstating Jones on Aug. 28, Goodell said that the player's participation in the NFL depended on demonstrating that he can conduct himself in a socially responsible manner, avoiding any other conduct that brings disrespect to himself, his team, or the NFL.
The decision on whether Jones can return to play this season will be based on his strict compliance with his NFL and Cowboys treatment plans as well as on evaluations of Jones' progress that will be provided to Goodell by clinical experts retained by the NFL.
He has a very good chance of being kicked out of the NFL. THUG LIFE BABY (Throwing up gang signs)

I will give the devil himself Jerry Jones credit for trying to help this guy help himself but alas...
Why?
1: Adam Jones did not deserve help (I made up the stuff about rescuing a kitten

2: Jerruh's "help" had nothing to do with altruism, and everything to do with wanting to win at all costs. He deserves no credit.

Old yellow teeth didn't trade for Pacman because he is a benevolent soul, he got him to win football games no matter what kind of character he showed. I give Old yelow teeth no credit. He gets what he deserves.

I guess you guys are right. I always like to see people succeed when given a second chance but clearly the Pacman did not think he needed to change.
I give Jones some credit because I do believe in his mind he signs these guys because he believes in second chances. If he is right he gets good players for pennies on the dollar. But when he is wrong it can blow up his team. I don't know, I really actually don't care.

Nope. I've seen an interview with him, and he came right out and said, as long as it's legal, he'll sign anyone he thinks can help his team win.

SF, I've heard both too. I think I heard it was an indefinite suspension which will last at least 4 games.

There is some redemption - Adam Jones should not be allowed to play another down in the NFL - this guy was always in trouble and thought he was above the law - good riddance. I hope that the suspension is never lifted.
The other bad thing is that while the pukes gave up a 4th pick in the last draft they now get back 2 other picks from the Titans.
