Buckle your Chin Straps.....Browns are coming

Post by tribeofjudah »

The Browns are gonna be tough to beat. Lest we get complacent and think that we can again, walk through another team.....

The Browns are coming to duplicate what the Rams did to the Skins. They just took out the Gmen by 21 pts.

So much for the beast of the east theory.

May this be a warning to all.......

This will be good for the skins now they can't overlook this opponent as they just man handled the leader of our division. Lets take em down and make Anderson look like what he is, an average quarterback.

I also think that Cleveland will be tough, as is any NFL team. However, they are an entirely different team on the road and will also be emotionally-spent from their win over the Giants.

Eli was just showing his true colors today and Braylon finally came alive. If we blanket Braylon we shouldn't have too much of a problem handling them.

I will NEVER forget losing to the Browns 4 years ago....I WAS THERE! What a crappy game played by EVERYONE! I hope they remember that and play with a vengeance

 I, for one think that the way the Browns not only played against the Giants, and beat them, coupled with the way the 'Skins lost to the Rams, sets this game up for a Redskins victory. Just like how last weeks' game appeared to be a classic "trap" game, this game all has the markings for a Redskin turnaround against a Brown team that should be emotionally spent. That is, as long as JZ gets everyone back into focus.

I'm glad the Brownies play well we seem to do well vs. good teams. Zorn and CO. will have no problem selling the Browns as a good team this week.

He did fairly well last year. Don't hat on him just b/c he's a division rival. The past two years, he's done a lot better than his previous.

My low opinion of Eli has nothing to do with the team he plays for.

I did not like the way he came into the NFL and I have never seen him play at a level that makes me think he is a decent NFL QB

There was one play last night where the Browns players were all close by and he actually looked scared - what a wimp

I think the Browns just sent out a wake-up call to the Redskins
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

The Skins should be very afraid about the Browns; watching them dismantle the Giants last night was really impressive. Anderson looked very sharp, was making some great throws, and the line played great.

Vet, last year, he had a hot 5 game streak.

However, his year, overall, was pretty mediocre. 23 TDs, 20 INTs, and 56% completion percentage (73.9 rating).

A QB rating lower than his 2005 season (75.9). 2006 was his high point with a 77 QB rating.

Eli has, and always will be, a QB who runs hot and cold. He ran hot when the Giants won the Superbowl, and people extrapolated that to him having "arrived" when it's just Eli on a hot streak, being Eli.

I was shocked by how easily the Browns moved the ball and by how horribly bad the Giants defense was. I don't think the Giants forced one punt in the entire game.

There's no way the Redskins can allow the Browns to play that well on offense, but Portis should be able to find plenty of running room against their defense.

Look folks, the Giants needed overtime to beat the Bungles, the Rams played them close for three quarters, and the Skins shut them down after the first quarter. I am not sold on the Giants. I give them respect for winning the SB and being a good team but forgive me if I don't annoint them repeat SB champs.

This is just what the doctor ordered, IMO. We needed a challenge, we need to play a good team. We will find out about this team next week. How do we rebound from a loss against a pretty good team (Browns based on last night's perf.). This is great. We need this. Our guys always step up when challenged.

That's sometimes worse than a consistant QB. Which Eli shows up? The one that implodes or the one that smokes you? Didn't we have to deal with that last year around week 3?

He threw 2 picks and 1 TD in that game 3 game. And yeah, as an opposing team, facing someone who blows hot and cold can be really a pain...but I'd wager that being a fan of a team with a QB who is inconsistent would probably make you tear your hair out...

I won't lower myself to fathom being a fan of the Gnats. I was talking from the skins perspective planning for the see-saw that is Eli.

Yes the Browns will be tough, but we have the Monday Night Hangover in our favor, huge win over the Giants, reminds me of what we just did, two huge road wins in the division come home to a winless team and play a bad game, but a major let down.
