Don't have time to read through the entire thread so if this has been said before my bad....

Yes the turnovers hurt, but this loss came down to poor play by both lines. This was a problem last year and in Week 1 against the Giants, and we saw it again today. No pressure from the dline without blitzing. Bulger had way too much time on that deep completion at the end of the game.

Offensively, the line was terrible. Jansen was getting abused by Little and Kendall's brain cramp likely cost us the game. People are asking why we didn't exploit the Rams' secondary, but it's very hard to do that when your line can't block.

Dallas loses........good for us.

Torrence at CB is not as good as he thinks he is. JTaylor is not at 100%. Springs was silent today, I expected to here from him more. Gotta win these games. What a letdown.

Carlos Rogers had a great game, covering.

Still a disappointing loss today.

P.S. Michael Strahan really needs to get off television. I'm sick of him already and his bias is showing worse than a Cowboys' alumni.

Man Strahan is an arrogant SOB. We lost one bad game, big deal - so did Dallas. The Giants have not played anyone yet, let's not annoint them Champs until they play the tough part of their schedule. But man Strahan is enough to make me want to watch CBS. He is worse than the Cowpuke alumni - and his gap tooth is freakish not enduring.

Basically Strahan said that the NFC East got a lot more interesting after the Skins lost to a team they should've beaten. He said maybe the Redskins can't handle the pressure of being front runners.

I used to work his football camp, he's actually a pretty cool guy.

He may be a great human being off the field/tv set but he's still an arrogant jerk on said field/tv set.

I have met him a few times and he is a really cool guy.

He dated a friend of mines sister when he was married.
But I agree with him a little bit. These guys are young and fame can get to you. Keep in mind that this is all new to Zorn too. Hopefully he will get on the phone with some of the coaches in his circle and ask what to do after such a humbling loss.

Now, my 2cents is that this is only one loss. With Dallas loosing to the Cards, this is great news.

We need to do a better job of beating those we should beat and give it our best to the guys who are tough competition. I don't think we did that today.

I feel like from the opening of the game, we never got rolling. The only person who played 100% was Clinton Portis. That's it.

This loss should show these guys that just b/c you have beaten some of the best, you are not good enough to look past the worst.

Practice like you play get your sh.....t together.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing, he should probably be a sideline guy and not a studio guy if anything.

Well, first he was on the Dallas wagon, then the Dallas cart, jumped right onto the Redskins...
He's done enough working out right there to warrant bringing him back. It's more than he did last training camp!

Maybe the Redskins can't handle being frontrunners. They were obviously pretty cocky and confident going into this game, and forgot about all the things that got them here, like taking care of that ball.

Just an ugly, ugly loss. Really pitiful.

He could be right, I don't think he is but it is the arrogance with which he presents his opinion that offends me.

Can't really argue with any of that. We definitely should've beat the Rams, and good teams are supposed to beat the weaklings.

My observations:

Torrence is a punk. He has no business verbally challenging Haslett no matter what the deal. Stay professional man. Then he gets burned for a long pass that kinda cost us the game...imo.

J Taylor is less than 100%. He also needs to get better and step up. That's what he gets paid to do.

Landry is always late in closing in on the play. He needs to read the play quickly to get up to the Sean Taylor level of play. Sean was ALWAYS around the ball. Man, I miss him.

The O line suffered from "lack of communication" as they say.

Moss silent with 2 reception. Cool

ey, not much more.....

Portis was our only saving grace......

And yet I say: HAIL TO THE REDSKIN - we'll get 'em next week.

Your first statement may or may not be true... however, to expect him to compete with ST is grossly unfair. We all miss him... however, he is gone, never to return. Players of his talent show up once every 10 years, if that often. Why would we want to create an unattainable standard for his replacement?

Perhaps....but better vision, more game experience, quicker reaction time....all of this can help Landry be a top notch safety in this game. He's got a ways to go yet.....

Yeah, that doesn't sound wrong to me either. The Redskins are better than they played today, but they still lost. It's disappointing, but they'll just have to answer next week, which they are definitely capable of doing.

The Redskins had a bad game. Most of us fans, and probably the players, felt like they should beat this team by a significant margin. But, the Redskins are 4-2, and have already played all of the division road games AND are 2-1 in the division.

Just because the Skins beat the Cowboys in Dallas does not make them the best team in the league. Just because the lost to the Rams in DC they are not the worst team.

The Rams had a lot of motivation. They were winless coming off of a bye week. They had two weeks to prepare with their new head coach who is hoping to land a permanent return to a head coaching role. Their o-coordinator is Al Saunders. I'm sure he was quite motivated for this game. Their QB is making a return to the starting lineup after being senselessly demoted. Many of their players spoke out in disagreement about that decision. They surely were rallied around his return as starter.

On top of that the Redskins had offensive turnovers in this game. Granted, Campbell was under pressure at times but two of the turnovers and one in particular were flukes.

Through all of that the Rams had to make a 48 yard field goal with 2 seconds left to win that game. The Redskins controlled the ball during the game outside of those turnovers just like in the previous two games. The running game was excellent again. The defense was very good once again. Campbell had zero interceptions.

The Skins do need to get Durant Brooks kicking better ASAP. Suisham overall has been doing well but he has had a couple of kickoffs out of bounds. These should be correctable.

Other than that, I think if the Skins can avoid having a pass deflected, then caught by one of the o-lineman who then tries to run with it and then fumbles and then it is returned for a touchdown by the opposing team I they'll be looking pretty good.
