ghost...sorry for the mess. this is a great site otherwise, but sometimes you have to wade through the slop.

there are a few on here that have been bustin' their nads waiting for this game to happen. they are in their glory.....

there is a majority here who are upset that we lost and expect better results next week. welcome.

What people don't understand is, this was not a tough fought loss that is the fault of a few players who didn't step up.

This was an absolute debacle.

The Redskins were outclassed by THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE!

St. Louis is awful, and we should have destroyed them. We couldn't get anything going, and we looked like a team that just didn't know how to win.

Pathetic and embarrassing are the words of the day for the Washington Redskins those guys should just hang their heads and pray for redemption when they play the Browns.

The Skins were not outclassed today. We outplayed St. Louis and should have won. Yardage, first downs, TOP, all in favor of the Skins.

We just absolutely gave the game away with dropped balls (both on offense and defense), an impossibly flukey defensive TD before halftime, and a virtual Hail Mary pass to a rookie WR on a 3rd and 14.

This game was a complete and utter fluke. And of course we were on the wrong side of it.

But let's keep things in perspective - There isn't a (reasonable) Redskins fan on the planet who wouldn't have jumped at a record of 4-2 through 6 weeks before the season started looking at the schedule we had to face.

It's just that giving away games like this will make it difficult to contend for a division title.

But apparently if we point that out, we're just being negative nellys.

I'm just trying to figure out why:

1. Our O line couldn't protect JC

2. We didn't try to take advantage of their 3rd string secondary

3. Our offense couldn't hold on to the stinkin ball

4. Our special teams can't cover kick returns

5. Our special teams can't ever get any decent returns on kicks and punts

6. Suisam's kicks are always so short or out of bounds

These are questions that will have to be answered if we don't want to see more games like today's.

I am Mr. Negativity, sky is falling, blah, blah, blah. But, as bad as this loss is I don't think it makes much of a difference. Record wise we are still ahead of where we thought we'd be and now, most importantly, the Skins know they need to bring their A game every week - not just the big games. My large gut tells me this is the last time we'll see a game like this for a while.

easy enough to diagnose this one........skins dominated, lost the turnover battle, in fact turned the ball over on 2 drives that would have been go ahead scores.......sometimes the ball does not bounce your way when you play sports......and it bounced our way the last four weeks.........lets see what happens next week.

Especially considering the Skins rarely get any help from other teams when it comes to playing the reat of the NFC East.

Pumped to be 4-2...and we will be 5-2 and then 6-2. That makes me happy....

Now I have to go and deal with one of my football players I coach who is a die hard Rams fan...we had a nice little bet of a Gatorade on this one. The kid is a true fan...he said all week they would win..:)

I see a lot of California guys on here...man I am looking forward to moving back....you guys have some good spots to watch the games?

What troubles me is that our offense looked like they did in week 1.

The o-line may be inconsistent at times, but they played well run blocking, and did give JC time to throw but he held the ball too long again today. The passing game should have been much better. Lot's of blitzes from the Rams and no answer to stop them....i.e. burning them, so they continued.

Absolutely pathetic punting......an inconceivable kickoff shank....and fumbles.

Bottom line is that we again failed to put points on the board against a defense that hasn't held anyone to under 30 points.

Ray

What I don't get is why was JC having to hold the ball for so long when he dropped back to pass? Our receivers should've been able to get wide open all day long against their depleted secondary. That worries me.

If the offense plans on being consistent they are going to have to integrate thomas and kelly so the dropped short passes stop. Moss and El proved that they can't be counted on to catch short 3rd down passes. Also, pass protection was terrible. Its one thing for JC to be holding on to the ball too long, but that wasn't the case today. He was hit as soon as the ball was snapped. My big concern is that Zorn has looked Gibbs-esque the last few weeks with the run, run, failed pass, punt pattern.

More puzzlement. The Skins O line could provide protection for JC against the a much better Fecals and Dullass D lines, but not against the putrid Lambs? Makes no sense.

You've got to be kidding. Yes, it was a bad loss, but "done for the season"?!?! Didn't the Giants start 0-2 last season? How'd their year turn out?!?

big let down.. offense played poorly and special teams sucked. didn't look like we had our head in the game.

now that does not equate that we over-all suck as a team and that our future is bleak. we played poorly and the results reflect that.

we still are 4-2 after 1/3 of the season. we will have our bumps in the road and this was one of them. no cause for panic.

i, for one grampi, have not thrown in the towel.

Losing to the Rams at home has to be the worst case scenario. A contender would have beaten St. Louis by 30, and we just couldn't get it done.

After earning some respect by beating the Cowboys and Eagles we lost to the worst team in the league. We went from potentially being the best team in the NFC to being a laughingstock.

Congrats on getting the guys ready to play Zorn, also, you are an expert at halftime adjustments.

OMG, you are going to get severely flamed by the blindly optumistic. Haven't you learned you can't criticize the Skins in this forum, even when they play horribly?

There's a difference between a bad game and a bad season, but some people can't see that. And critism is fine here, as long as it's intelligent. Pointless cynicism is a waste of bandwidth.

Me neither. I'm just assessing the game and trying to figure where and how the Skins can improve from here.
