I stopped participating in the political threads a while back, because I didn't find them very enjoyable. Personally, I'm not going to be won over by political proselytize on a football message board, and I don't imagine anyone else will be either.
At any rate, I have a general distrust for any claims that come out of any campaign about an opponent, and these are the two sites I look at to confirm or refute those statements. Most of you probably know about sites like these, if not these specific sites, but I thought I would share anyway.

As I was reading about the debate this morning, I was thinking that they should have fact checkers at the debates, verifying statements as the candidates make them. If they make a claim that turns out to be false, they get zapped with an electrical charge. Tell me that won't increase the number of viewers.

... I was chatting over IM with a friend during the debates last night and suggested shock collars to reprimand the candidates when they exceeded their allotted time.
Now that would make it interesting!
