Post by cvillehog »

I stopped participating in the political threads a while back, because I didn't find them very enjoyable. Personally, I'm not going to be won over by political proselytize on a football message board, and I don't imagine anyone else will be either.

At any rate, I have a general distrust for any claims that come out of any campaign about an opponent, and these are the two sites I look at to confirm or refute those statements. Most of you probably know about sites like these, if not these specific sites, but I thought I would share anyway.

As I was reading about the debate this morning, I was thinking that they should have fact checkers at the debates, verifying statements as the candidates make them. If they make a claim that turns out to be false, they get zapped with an electrical charge. Tell me that won't increase the number of viewers.

 ... I was chatting over IM with a friend during the debates last night and suggested shock collars to reprimand the candidates when they exceeded their allotted time.

Now that would make it interesting!

They could make it like that game show "Distraction"!

"My friends, do you realize he voted 94 times to...[ka-zzzzzap]...AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!"

"Oh, sorry Senator, you've gone over your allotted time."
