Anyone worried about a let down in the next 3 games?
With the Skins winning the last two divisional games on the road, the team has got to be riding an emotional high right now, and they should be. We all know how tough divisional games are, let alone winning consecutive divisional games on the road. I just hope they don't overlook any of their next 3 opponents because we all know on any given Sunday....

Personally, I'm not worried about a let down - watch Zorn's presser yesterday and see if it sounds to you like he's going into the next three weeks over-looking weaker opponents.
That isn't to say that I think that they are 3 shoe-ins for wins, but I don't think that we're going into the games looking past opponents.
I think when a team decides together to NOT take a Victory Monday off, they are demonstrating that they are going to prepare just as hard this week as they have the past five.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

I think Zorn gets this team ready to play well each and every week - there is a big difference around this team this year and that is mainly due to a whole bunch of guys preparing and playing together in a manner that we have not seen here for a long while.
btw - just loved that Randy Thomas took D. Thomas aside and said - "we do not mind the intensity but you have to play smart" - this team does not take even 1 play off - each and every play and each block is important.
We will see the same intensity for the next 3 games as we saw the last 3 because that is how they are practicing and playing this year.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

This is why I'm not worried about a let down...
Redskins 4-1/ Opp record 15-10
Panthers 4-1/ Opp record 11-14
Cowboys 4-1 /Opp record 9-15
Broncos 4-1/ Opp record 9-15
Bills 4-1/ Opp record 7-15
Steelers 4-1/ Opp record 6-15
Titans 5-0/ Opp record 6-17
Giants 4-0/ Opp record 5-13
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

Interesting! Are there any other teams above .500 whose opponents have a winning combined record?

And our 4-1 record means the G-strings' other opponents are 1-12.

Hail to the Redskins!
I'm not really worried, I don't get the impression that this team really feels like they've got anything locked up right now.
I think it might be different if they were leading the division by two or three games and had the entire sports-media world annointing them the greatest team in the league...

I would have been more worried had one of these games been sandwiched between Dallas and Philly. The way Zorn has been calling games I'm not that woried. Have you notice the one common thing in all four wins?? Jason has taken a knee at the end of each of them. I can't remember us doing that in recent history???

I'm a bit worried about how our 2nd stringers will play coming into the game, I mean at some point Zorn's gonna have to play them coz we'll be up by a few. Seriously though, the Rams are due for a win, but not here, look somewhere else. We have proven, as a team, that we can diffuse a potent offense, and that we can run whenever, wherever we want. We have fast, big, rumbling recievers to throw to. We have a QB that has not turned the ball over. You get us in a hole, we'll find a way to dig out of it, we get ahead, we will eat the clock. No worries, if we lose, we lose, but for now, enjoy what we have!

I am not worried about the Rams game, they have been outscored 147-43 in 4 games. They appear to be the worst team in the NFL. Yes, they are coming off a bye which is an advantage for them but they just fired there coach and they have to come into FEDEX where our fans are going to be going nuts off those 2 huge road wins. The Rams Defense is god awful at both stopping the run and the pass and there O-line is atrocious. Portis, Campbell, Moss and
ey along with our defense should have a field day and we should roll. I am not worried about the Browns game either because I am sure Portis remembers when he fumbled twice against them in Cleveland back in 2005 and we lost 17-13, I remember because I was there, Portis will step up huge and dominate there crappy Defense as will Campbell/Moss/Cooley. We should win fairly easily at home. I am slightly worried about the Lions game. As bad as the Lions are, and as much we have the Lions number, I think coming into that game the Lions will be 0-6 and desperately hungry for there first win. They are a much better home team, and I am afraid we might get caught looking ahead to our big Monday night game at FedEx vs the Steelers the following week. I think at worst we lose 1 of the next 3 games, but I feel it is vital for us to win all 3 of those games given our divison. The next 3 games shall be interesting, it looks like Shawn Springs, Marcus Washington and possibly Jason Taylor will all be back for the Rams game this Sunday. Lets hope we can stay healthy and keep playing at a very high level the next 3 weeks. I also hope we start to see some more production out of Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly (assuming he plays) and improvement from Durant Brooks. Lets take care of business the next 3 weeks Skins!

Who in particular are you worried about? I've seen rotations in all positions except QB and o-line really, and they all look pretty good to me.

Zorn is familiar with the Rams. The Lions are utter garbage. The Browns are a solid team that just isn't getting it done, they could pose a threat if we aren't on top of our game.
The steelers are beatable and I want someone to hit the smile off of Wards face.

I'm sorry, I just don't understand this.

If we're up by enough that we start bringing in our second stringers against the Rams - what will there be to worry about? We wouldn't bring them in because we were up by 7, we'd only bring them in if the game was considered 'out of reach'.
So consequently, it wouldn't even matter how they did. Teams bring in their 'scrubs' when the game is decided - how they play isn't relevant because the game is already over when they come in.

I'm not worried about a letdown. But I could see the Rams coming here and playing their game of the year. They're up against it right now.

Not really - but I am interested to see if they are coached up the proper way and not having a let down would be a big part of that.

I am not scared I think we will win, but you never know. Saint Louis can be a trap game, Brandon Jacobs tore us up, power backs are generally the backs that can give us problems, I don't worry about scat backs. Al Saunders knows the players and what they can do, and there comin off a bye. We will see, I think we will win by at least two td's, but you never know.

I am a little worried about the St. Louis game. I think that there is a ton of things going on in that organization and teams tend to rally behind those types of things. I, too, am concerned with Al Saunders and his familiarity with the defensive players. With the QB issues, new coach, former disgruntled coach, coming off a bye week, power backs, etc. --- there are number that make me uncomfortable about this game. I just hope that the team is focused and doesn't take this team too lightly.
On a positive note, the game is at home and we really don't have difficult teams over the span of the next 3 games which would cause us to "look" past the Rams.

I'm very worried about the Rams game for those same reasons... also, the sentiment here in StL is that they probably have a better chance winning a road game because they don't have the pressure on them when the home fans start booing the first time they give up a sack... they also don't see the 'Skins as a big pass rush threat, which is one of the things that has really contributed to games getting out of hand... they believe if they can tackle better, they'll be in this game at the end...
I hope not...
